I spent a night in the same albergue in Palas de Rei: they actually locked us in for the evening when we didn't participate the common dinner! Very scary and unfriendly place, I must say. It's a shame, because it looks so nice 😢

A local walk we regularly do here in Brissie is through some bush, and there are heaps of bark from the Eucalyptus trees strewn everywhere. I guess they are just trying to keep from over stressing in the heat! A nice memory for you to experience.
