Hello Pilgrims ,.. glad that you did short walk on this day, .. God ! I walked from Leon to Hospital de Orbigo, , and stayed for the night at Albergue Casa De Los Hidalgo. ( May 23rd 2022) The One of nicest albergue operator Jaun,.. I met on the Camino oh yes that is beautiful bridge before you enter the town. To me it was the longest day , up till now I still don’t know how I walked that far, where I get the energy and strength to carry on, at 72 , my hardest and longest day. and I have no hole left in my only belt , and my pants were keep slipping down…. Aaah.. the memories,.. the beautiful memories. Hope that double b/f and rest helped to heal your body. Buen Camino , Pilgrims , Keep well,….. Cheers ! 🇨🇦

The knight in the story was Suero de Quiñones, who for the love of his lady, challenged all who would pass the bridge to a joust (actually, he and a few companion knights). They did this for 30 days (10 July - 9 August 1434) and it is actually one of the better documented tourneys of the middle ages. That was the first day that I wore my rain gear on the Camino...I exited Leon and finished behind you at San Martin. My feet were soaked but otherwise OK. Wow, that must have been your shortest walking day! In your out takes when you are eating at that albergue, some of my friends are sitting behind you! Crazy!
