Thanks for sharing your Camino journey with us all. Loving it. Reliving my own Camino Francee. Yes that monument of Cruz de ferry is very emotional one, but at same time reminds us all that we are all one with the all mighty God. Amen

Thanks for capturing the emotion of Cruz de Ferro. I thought that location would be all about me "shedding" my own issues when in fact all I could think about was my Mom who died of cancer in 2006. I experienced uncontrollable sobbing...where did that come from? A remarkable place. By the way, you captured my rock in your video! At 4:38, my rock is at the top of the screen - the one with the face that looks like it is grimacing. We have a group where I live that paints rocks and hides them for others to find and take on journeys. I found this one and knew it would land here with me. Another great video. Thanks!

The energy at Cruz De Ferro was powerful and cleansing. I felt a large weight was lifted after we placed our stones there. I'm sorry about your mom. 😢 I believe you released some lingering grief as did I in that area. And I see your stone, our paths crossed once again!!

@@wedofly1998 I also felt a great weight lifted after placing my stone at the Cruz de Ferro! It was a healing moment that made the entire Camino Francés so worth the experience. I am really enjoying your blog. After the pandemic and a three year delay, I watched many blogs on the Camino Francés experience in preparation and finally was able to complete mine on June 26th. Your blog combines humor, candor and very much captures the Camino. Ultrea

When I walked from Foncebadon to El Acebo this past late September it was cold and raining and that path really sucked, lol. After I slipped and busted my butt (only hurt my pride lol) I said screw it and switched to the blacktop roadway the rest of the way and played Frogger with traffic. I was going to go all the way to Molinaseca but the cold rain discouraged me and I stayed at the parochial in El Acebo as the big posh albergue was completo (I actually stayed there in 2018, very nice).

We encountered some rain that day as well and considered the blacktop roadway, it was a beautiful hike!! 🚶♀️🚶✌️
