The 7 days Special Camp for the NSS volunteers was organized by Shrimati Indira Gandhi College on 02.01.2025 to 08.01.2025 at the Adopted villages of Thiruvallarai Panchayat including Anumarkovil, Thiruvallarai, Chinnakaatukulam, kalavaipatti Udaiyavarkulam.
The NSS of Shrimati Indira Gandhi College conducted the third day of its camp on 04.01.2025. The day began with a welcome address by Ms. V. Praveena of II Chemistry, followed by an awareness rally on waste segregation, a menstrual hygiene survey, and a cleaning drive at Nandhavanam and Thiruvallarai Temple. A workshop on saree draping and hairstyling engaged village women, promoting creativity and economic independence. In the afternoon, P. Ramajeyam, NSS Co-ordinator of Bharathidasan University, encouraged volunteers, while B.S.S. Jegan, advocate of the Madras High Court, conducted a session on self-awareness and problem-solving. Volunteers gave speeches in English and Tamil on "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat," followed by team-building games, a patriotic song, and a pledge. Ms. A. Prema of II Microbiology concluded the session with a vote of thanks.
