Day 3 after inguinal hernia surgery

Im on day 3 right now after a left inguinal, my surgury was on friday morning. Im feeling better than day two for sure but it still hurts alot to move around and walk. I have had the hernia a long time, so with it just now being fixed im going be real slow and take it easy.

My day 3 was Slow. I am fortunate to have my wonderful wife taking great care of me. I am keeping everything on Ice. Because of that I have had Zero bruising and no extra fluid build up. I was told those two things could happen. I do have to say that I too can not stand up straight yet either. I think the biggest thing is I can feel this mesh inside of me. It moves around, though I realize it is in a high traffic area. I had the Left side Inguinal Mesh surgery. Today is day 4 and I still have had zero pain through all of this but the Ice pack on the area feels great. I do feel a bit sore above the incision. I also do get a feeling of sharpness or pinching and I don't like that. I hope that the tissue will attach to it soon and it stops moving around. there are also certain movements that it feels like the mesh is bending inside of me. i would say all in all having this mesh inside of me so far at this point is uncomfortable and I don't like it. I hope it will all be worth it in the end. The End

Hi, do you still have that kind of feeling an object moving inside you? I had my surgery last week and I cannot stop thinking about it.

I have Inguinal hernia on same spot again came back I have to get surgery soon terrified to death lol... I got one I was a kid don’t remember now I have to go back.. hope goes well..

Sean. Did you have inguinal hernia? With or without mesh? Open or laparoscopic? How do you feel now?

Absolutely but it will subside hang in there. I know it's awful but it will all change for the better. BE STRONG! Go easy for some time.

I had two side done. I am on day 3 and I finally pooped. I took 1 colace for two days but today I decided to take 3 and the poop came out with ease. Also drink plenty of water.
