Wow - that was a great deadlift session - nice work. Great setup - consistently pulling not too low and only a little hint near the end (fatigue) of your butt shooting up too soon but only slightly. After a session like this - is your back feeling sore or tweaked at all? If so - make sure (you know I am going to say it) that you really really really concentrate on your core (these days I will the actual front of my stomach to lift it) to actually take the load. That may sound easy but as you do more reps - I find the lazy old stomach slowly backs off into the bushes (like Homer Simpson) and leaves it more and more up to the poor old back to jump in and do the heavy lifting. Great work!

Thanks! Yeah I’m super focused on bracing when I deadlift and ensuring I have a neutral spine. Not perfect, but getting there. Today’s lift was the most pound feet deadlift session so far!

All good - nothing to worry about but really be careful of the belief that a huge deadlift will solve all of life's problems. Protect your back at all costs and really really really tell your core to take the load and leave your back out of it. Nice work.@@Schismarch

Man, sounds silly but the truth is I am quite prone to believing a big deadlift solves all of life’s problems. 😂😅

Yup - I went down this path as well and pinged my back stupidly going to 225 kgs way too soon. Must be the testosterone boost from the training - :)@@Schismarch
