So much for the "wildlife" following the trail rules. That pony clearly passed you on the right and not the left as the sign said. Congratulations on 500 miles.

One of your better videos. Excellent length of almost 10 minutes.....much better than those brief 5 minute ones that you typically do. And also very nice intro and closure. Congratulations on 500! Be safe. 😎

You folks are rock stars. That said, I can't wrap my head around having ear buds in while hiking. I can't do it. I like to be in the moment, taking in my surroundings at 100 percent. I've heard a few hikers on their channels saying they listen to audio books, podcasts, etc., to escape boredom. I guess I'm just an old geezer but I cannot understand being out in the wilderness hiking and then trying to avoid boredom. But that's me LMAO. I love your channel, I've enjoyed all of your videos. WALK ON!!!!

Wow! Trail Flashback! I saw a Mountain Lion at the same place on White Top @ 3:20 during our '86 Thru hike. My brother missed it but heard my yelling and saw my pointing. He still claims it was a pony! Congrats on the 500 Mile!

These videos are really good. I wasn't expecting yet another AT thru to be compelling but I like the daily updates format. I can't imagine doing 26 miles a day, much less averaging over 20 day after day!

I've been to Grayson Highlands five or six times with friends from our hiking club over the years. We'd go to ride bikes along a seventeen mile stretch of the Virginia Creeper Trail, see the ponies, and hike all the trails in the area, including the sections of the AT in and around of Damascus. I really liked Buzzard Rock. I thought that it was pretty cool and quite outstanding in contrast to the surrounding terrain. I've been to the summit of Mt Rogers twice. It's wooded at the summit so there aren't any views. It was a steep climb but worth it though to have been to the highpoint in the state of Virginia. The ponies are cute but they can get a little aggressive in their search for food. They'll stick their nose right in your pack pocket or coat pocket and take whatever they can grab. One of them tried to run off with my friends puffy jacket. It was a rather humorous tug-of-war. Fortunately, my friend prevailed and the jacket remained intact.
