Greeting! Dear CIY community!! Here in this Day 331, we learn that Moses is the prayer of the mediator and David the prayer of the King. We are men and women who have called to intercede on behalf of others. We pray as mediator and we pray as royalty a spart of God's family. Our prayer has to be honest. We should walk like God, love like God on the earth and have a relationship with Him. Humility is the foundation of prayer. Let us thank everyone and pray for Fr Mike Schmitz, all the clergy, seminarians, and all of us in this CIY community and those to whom we promised to pray. Amen!

Thank you Fr Mike. I did so enjoy the conversation with Sr Miriam. Prayer to me is almost constant as I breathe am grateful for my life. You asked what's the point if not praying regularly? Well I know some who rarely pray yet I know God is with them calling them to that relationship & even a few or 1 prayer is honored by God as a response to that relationship. St Paul said if he was not praying he was fainting. Yes prayers can be the rosary, formal or intentional also just conversation of I thank you Lord, I need you. The psalms are such a wonderful example. I claim psalm 91 everyday; so amazing that Moses wrote that even in the wilderness. I grow closer each day though so imperfect yet having hope & believing His Word is true. May God bless all of you as we pray, I pray for you and ask for prayer for my family. Thank you 🙏.

We are people called to intercede on behalf of others and live as royalty in Christ's kingdom. God calls Moses from the midst of the burning bush to be different, to move, to do something. And Moses learns to pray by questioning God, who then reveals his ineffable holy name. Humility is nothing more than honesty with which we are to approach God with a willingness to do what God wants us to do. We are now talking to a God who is not indifferent to us or to our pain as he is LOVE ❤, who is good and faithful and one whom we can trust. David's psalms are prayers of a man who knew that he could trust God, 👏 praise his name and 😢 cry out to him even in darkness and hopelessness. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Love the two prominent examples of prayers- Moses' prayer from the 'burning bush' scenario and David's psalms. God has an extremely unique friend-like relationship with Moses. God had an extremely high love and kindness towards David. The humbleness of Moses and the faithfulness of David made their prayers powerful too. Thus, learning from their praying styles and using their prayers help us to improve our own understanding of God's relationship with us and make our faith stronger. Just that phrase “God is love” says it all. Not God has love, though He does, nor God loves because He does, but the very essence of God is love. He can, by His nature, do nothing less. That doesn’t mean a sweet permissive love, but a righteous love that wills the best for each of us. He knows what we need the most & has laid it out in His Word what will bring us joy, peace, & beauty - true love. God bless you.🙏❤️

Prayers for the American Church, especially Bishop Strickland and today Cardinal Burke who are being scourged for being Loyal Sons of Mother Church. Before our heart heals, yet another is scourged, Lord have mercy on them and the Cancelled priests and Bishops

@sheela Bishop Strickland isn't being "scourged" in any way, shape or form. He read a "letter from a friend" who has a "deep love for Pope Francis" which went on to say: "Francis is an expert at producing cowards." “Would you now allow this one who has pushed aside the true pope and has attempted to sit on a chair that is not his define what the Church is to be?” He went on to describe Pope Francis as “this usurper on Peter’s chair.” In other words, Judas who betrayed his Master with a kiss, a profession of "deep love" is closer to Bishop Strickland's model of total disloyalty. Far indeed from loyalty does he stand now. His seer disloyalty, and this wasn't the first, is what resulted in his just dismissal. He hasn't suffered in any way. He is on the media circuit now, free of all administrative duties. Free to play the "martyr." Free to create division in the Church. "I'm for Strickland. I'm for Burke" in a way condemned by no less than St Paul in his time. On the one hand, he will read approvingly such a letter in public, giving it his imprimatur. On the other, he will say Francis is the Pope. He needs to make up his mind. Or simply stop speaking with a forked tongue. As for "cancelled" priests and bishops? Have you seen Fr James Altman lately? His "cancellation" was way overdue. He seems to have gone completely off his rocker, calling for not just "death" but for "damnation" for those to whom he owes obedience and loyalty. Funny enough, not a peep out of his previous supporters now.

@jamesmcgrath3841 Thank you for defending our Holy Father and the Magisterium. You did an excellent job. I hope you are writing comments on other videos as well. I'm a Jewish convert to the Catholic Faith. I was converted by a dream in 1990 and fell in love with Jesus. He led me to the Catholic Church during Holy Week of 1990, and I entered the Church in 1991. It pains me to see people, especially fellow Catholics, attacking the Church that Jesus founded and which He guaranteed cannot teach error in faith or morals. As a new convert, whenever I had difficulties or questions, I would remind myself, Jesus gave Peter the Keys. I have absolute confidence in Jesus so I trust His Word that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church. I believe that the Holy Spirit selects the Pope and that the Church is in God's Hands even when we don't understand what's going on. If I didn't believe this, I would be no different than a Protestant.

Day 331… The Foundations of Prayer..! I have a massive amount of ‘catching up’ to do..! 😔😔😔 Starting today..! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you to all of you who have been praying for me..! To be fair, I’ve taken you with me on pilgrimage to Lisbon, Santarém, Fátima, Lourdes and Paris..! I was also chosen to read the Psalm at the first Mass Father celebrated in Fátima.. in the vernacular..! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I am still walking on clouds after that travel time..! I wasn’t at ALL l sure I could have made that trip. 😱😱😱 But, all things are possible with God..! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I have so been ‘hearing’ God, lately..!! ❤❤❤ How is He speaking so clearly… to ME, a poor sinner..! 😔😔😔 I know… HE ‘always’ speaks clearly… it is WE who stand in the way of actually HEARING..!!! ❤❤❤ I CANNOT WAIT to hear you again..! am praying for all of you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Please pray for me. The prayer of Moses was typical of a contemplative prayer. God called Moses from the burning bush, and Moses lingered in conversation with Him. In this intimacy with God, Moses attained strength to intercede and mediate tenaciously for his people. In the Old Testament, the prayers of David, the King was a model for the prayer of the people because it involved clinging to the divine promise and a trust filled with love for the One who is the only King and Lord.

Thank you I really needed to read this and listen to this message. My heart is heavy today and it’s hard for me to refocus and well on what is good and right in my life and in the world. I am in my second year of struggling with my husband’s pancreatic cancer and trying to take care of him the best I can. I am struggling with family issues where I am being openly, disrespected, and people are being abusive. These are people that I love in. I thought love me. I am feeling weary and lost. So it’s good. He knows how you feel. And, this is huge, “He knows what you need before you ask Him.” (Mt. 6:8) You don’t have to write your own prescription. God doesn’t need our counsel or advice. “Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear.” (Isa. 65:24) People sometimes say, “Be careful what you pray for, God will give it to you.” Hogwash. If you don’t need it, He won’t give it. He loves you too much to give you the wrong answer. Is God no more than a computer, programmed to respond to the data you enter? By no means! He is your Father who says: “I know the thoughts I think towards you…thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope…call upon Me and pray to Me and I will listen to you.” (Jer. 29:11) Prayer is only as good as God is. Since He is good, so is prayer. Prayer works because He does. Prayer changes things because God changes things. Prayer makes a difference because God has determined to make a difference. Prayer matters because you matter to God. ❤❤❤
