dianefrank, I have been suffering with the same thing for 9 years. I would not recommend going to a chiropractor for this. A chiropractor tore my tendons and ligaments doing adjustments for this problem, rendering it impossible to ever heal. It is difficult to sit, drive, walk up steps or inclines. So, if you would like to talk about this, I don't know if there is a message thingy on KZbin, but I'd be happy to talk to you about it. I've been in PT for 9 straight years because of letting a chiropractor deal with the SI joint problem, I don't want it to happen to you or anyone else. God bless.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me, a sinner. In Jesus, our prayer becomes a communion of love with the Father. In this way, we can present our petitions to God to be heard. Mary’s prayer was characterised by faith and by the generous offering of her whole being to God. Mary prays to Jesus for the needs of all people.

Greeting! Everyone greetings!! Happy Advent. Jesus answers any prayer expressed in faith. Jesus hears every prayer expressed in faith and expressed in words. The traditional prayer of Jesus is "Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me, a sinner!" When we inhale say Jesus and when you exhale say mercy and we will be constantly having this awareness of Jesus presence in us. Fiat means "Let it be." In Mary we have the prayer called Magnificat. Holy Spirit helps us to pray with a purified heart. Let's thank everyone and pray for Fr Mike Schmitz, all the clergy, all the seminarians, all those we promised to pray and all of us in the CIY community. Amen!!

Praying for your mom... THE MOST POWERFUL HEALING PRAYER BY ST. PADRE PIO Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving us. I thank you for sending your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and to set us free. I trust in your power and grace that sustain and restore us. Loving Father, touch @user-xb1lp8op6s's mom now with your healing hands, for I believe that your will is for her to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit. Cover her with the most precious blood of your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Cast anything that should not be in her. Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesus’ precious blood. Let the fire of your healing love pass through her entire body to heal and make new any diseased areas so that her body will function the way you created it to function. Touch also her mind and her emotion, even the deepest recesses of her heart. Saturate her entire being with your presence, love, joy and peace and draw her ever closer to you every moment of her life. And Father, fill her with your Holy Spirit and empower her to do your works so that her life will bring glory and honor to your holy name. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Jesus prays for us, with us, and we pray to Him as the Son of God. The gospels, and our experience helps us to know that we indeed don't repeat mantras but we're talking with Jesus and God. The dawning of the fullness of time is a great description of Mother Mary's prayer. She trusted God and showed the possibility of God's plans when we give ourselves in God's hands. The best example of obedience to God. Jesus: wanted His disciples to pray (A) with a Purified heart, (B) with lively and persevering faith, (C)with filial boldness. He calls them (D) to vigilance, and (E) invites them to present their petitions to God in His name. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Fr. Mike and Team Ascension. I'm praying for you and for the fellow listeners. God bless.

Jesus hears every prayer expressed in faith - in words or in silence as also the urgent request of people through the Jesus Prayer. This prayer is an awareness of Jesus by calling on him from our heart while presenting our petitions; knowing that the Trinity holds us in their gaze. Mary's prayer her Fiat: *Let it be done to me according to your word* cooperates with the Father's plan of loving kindness. Her greatest prayer of Praise is the Magnificat. It's more important to pray than to talk about prayer.😊

December 2, 2023 Do you have just a moment in time to pray for Souls in Purgatory with me? According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great, was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

Day 336 *The Jesus Prayer* Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner Now we should repeat the prayer even as we breathe. Inhale - Jesus Christ , So of the living God... Exhale - Have mercy on me a sinner. Or, Inhale - "Jesus" Exhale - "Mercy" This is not a mantra like Om... This is because we are talking to someone and directing our attention to that person....

Jesus prays Satan preys In my book "Look Who's Praying Now: Healing Unto the Nations," I didn't overly use the CCC to draw from, however the book does dovetail into the literature like two rivers coming to a confluence. I had no idea about the section on prayer in the CCC as it wasn't instructed in my RCIA classes. I'm with Fr Mike that this last pillar should be somehow incorporated into the entire year sort of like "nugget day"--"prayer day."
@TrixRN Жыл бұрын
I never thought about whether it’s incorporated into RCIA/OCIA. We haven’t gone over prayer yet (I’m a sponsor). We might in the P&E phase, purification & enlightenment, the last 4 meetings before Easter.

I have a recommendation, Fr. Mike was saying if you can't remember the Act of Contrition The Jesus Prayer is good, but I like to do an examination of conscience everyday and pray the Act of Contrition. If I pray things everyday it helps me memorize. And personally I like to pray the Jesus Prayer sometimes in lieu of Kyrie Eleison.

So, if we go to confession and say “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me a sinner.”, the priest is not going to say something? I was always under the impression that we had to say the traditional long version of that prayer.

I asked my son, who is a seminarian, about this. He said it would be okay, but it is mainly used in the Eastern church. He prefers memorizing or reading the longer Act of Contrition. Just throwing that out there for what it's worth. BTW, I always enjoy reading your comments and questions 😊

We had a priest a few years who actually posted that Jesus prayer in the Confessional. Apparently he thought it was OK. Pretty sure he'd rather someone come in and not be anxious about not remembering their act of contrition. Seems to me that in most Confessionals they have the AOC taped up to help the penitent also. At least here in middle America. Ks. I personally like the AOC, because it spells out my sorrow a bit more thoroughly. Going to confession frequently as in at least once a month helps to remember it. I'm sure any priest would want people in the Confessional no matter which prayer they use as long as they have deep sorrow and desire of absolution. 🙏🙌🙏💝

That's crazy, I still don't get it. God holds existence into existence, I'm not sure it can ever be anything that is "got". I stared at my hand today, imagining all of the systems working in tandem beneath my skin, then the crazy intricate relationships between cells and all the work and design required to flow and have life, and then, the insanity of my thoughts "controlling" my voluntary movement of my hand despite all the hundreds and millions of involuntary movements between the systems and cellular mechanisms firing off in and between every cell. God creates this and holds it into existence :O Madness :O And that's the complexity of what I can see, and then God holds in existence our very souls which cannot be seen and which I certainly scarcely understand. :O
