Nice work! Sooooooo how was your bracing during those kettlebells? You have to be careful with those swings, if you don't brace properly you will be hitting your lower back. My wife tweaked her back on them, please take care. Imagine yourself like a cylinder of iron and make it so. Also when you are moving weights around the gym, perfect opportunity to practice your bracing - especially as you are bending over to pick them up. Treat each one like a mini-deadlift and brace brace brace. One of my nasty deadlift injuries was done when I was putting the weights onto the bar - very embarrassing but it taught me a lesson. Then when you get really good at those mini-braces, do that for your every day life. Drop something on the kitchen floor? Brace and then bend over and pick it up and on and on. No more back tweaks. I am glad you are doing underhand (chin-ups) as I have always found getting the overhand pull-up really difficult to get right. I still can't seem to get my lats involved enough and it turns into a junky mess. You get a much nicer arm pump as well.

Yes! I am bracing on the kettlebells and on the weight picking up! Yeah I feel you on pull-ups; soooooooo hard for me to do overhand. Making some progress on the underhand/chinup… almost got 4!

Hah, me too. I’ve watched some of his pull-up vids but will go back and look more. Generally I am under the impression that my power to weight ratio is still just too low. More lat pulls, rows, etc, is my theory.

@@Schismarch I have always found pull ups to just feel awkward and just not great. I agree it is best to work on other areas so you can approach them with more confidence.

When I was in highschool I could do like 10 pull-ups. But I also weighed 135 lbs. 😅
