Best video that I have had to watch to prepare for what happens when I have the surgery. Would like to know what happened the first few days when you went home. Also interested in knowing if constipation was an issue and what happened. Can you bend enough to wipe yourself?

Well brother I'm glad to hear that surgery went okay and that you're on your way to a full recovery. It's how short will take a while and some rehabilitation will be needed but it sounds like things are well on there way. I know you're definitely glad to be home now and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers my friend. Thanks for sharing.

+Massachusetts Prepper Thank you. Time, rest and staying positive that's the plan for a healthy recovery and rehabilitation. Thanks for watching and the great comment. I will be on the lookout for your next video.

Hey Chris, I enjoyed your blogs (not sure if that is the right word...kind of like saying you enjoy Game of Thrones whilst watching one of the really gruesome episodes)...but anyway...you did make me chuckle in places! I am no stranger to hospitals, being 67 years old and having been run over by a car, had emergency surgery for a twisted colon (that effin HURT...much more painful than being run over by a car) and having had various other sundry surgeries. So...after falling hard on my butt rollerblading one day, my back hurt like crazy ever since. I did all the pain management, physical therapy...blah blah blah, until I am finally at the stage of waiting for surgery. I am having a double fusion done....they go in through the front oblique, minimally invasive, then they let me stew for the next day, then the day after that they put screws in my back, again minimally invasive. So how are you doing now? I am now preparing to watch "Life after Spinal Fusion" which of course will tell me how you are doing. I hope that after this surgery I can get back to the business of teaching spin and body pump again. Thanks for posting!!

+Lynda Dove-Garcia Wow hit my a car and rollerblading. Look at the comments of the life after low back surgery video it sounds like you are going to have the same surgery that someone else just had this week. As for me I am doing better day after day but I am still waiting to get movement back in my foot. I have some back pain but nothing like before it's more just sore. This week I have been hearing noises in my back but I am thinking it's my muscles and knots and such. Surgery was rough but it passed far faster then my back pain flair up ever did. How is your pain level at the moment?

Did I miss when you explained what happened to your back? That's some extreme injury!

don't know if I talked about it but it was nothing special just picked up a box.

That's it? Was it even a special box?

it was of normal size and shape and the weight was average. special in the way that I felt a very sharp pain in my low back and could not stand up straight.
