Hi Mike. With all the conditions, you still find time to take great pictures and videos. At the elevation you are on you can hear it in your breathing, I can see where this was the hardest day you had so far. Glad you have someone to travel with. Be Strong, Be Safe, and thanks for taking us on this Journey.

Epic day is right! There’s still quite a bit of snow left! I’m looking forward to seeing the conditions after Wolf Creek Pass. I’m planning to hike the CDT section from Wolf Creek to where it joins the CT in less than a week(which is probably 5 or so days after you do)😊

On part of the same section next week. Always an amazing area and rarely run into other hikers

Epic day, for real, Mike. What beautiful views of the mountains, of the trail, just everything. Loved the video. Glad you didn't meet up with the bear that left that pawprint. Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds. It's hard, but you look like you're loving every minute of it. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Ridiculously impressive. Has to be one of your toughest days on any Trail, I would’ve thought. Stay safe and God speed.

What a day, you should be so proud of accomplishing that much in those conditions. I'm sure glad you're not up there alone.

Wow, There is still a lot of snow up there. I am glad you are not alone up there. I hope the Collegiate's are melted down a little more. You 2 are doing great up there.

Yeah. Things start getting much more difficult above 12,000 ft. But you are persevering and before long you should be acclimated. Enjoy and stay within your capabilities.

uh oh i thought… very subdued intro … maybe elevation draining your battery, Energiser. 😊 How’s your sleep qual up high?🗻 Enjoyed watching - kudos - 💙 would this be an average year for snow in the San Juans? Loved the image at 7:23 - says it all. Clint🇦🇺
@garylines57555 ай бұрын
I have lived in the San Juan's for twenty five years and it's about average but the average at Wolf Creek is 480 inches a year.

Y'all are smart to drop down into those 2 valleys and not do these north side traverses across snow slopes. I didn't understand why people did that. It's cool to leave the red line and go cross-country!

I'm guessing you all are using bear canisters? Because I don't see anything to hang a bag from! Too sketchy for my taste.
