First time I grunged something up it just looked dirty and awful to me..i threw it in trash....wasn't sure what I had done wrong. Months later I realized it was SUPPOSED to look old n dirty...lol!!!.... now....BRING ON THE GRUNGE

@shirleyjackson3893 lol. It was for my first ATC swap..I was embarrassed to let anyone see it. The ladies on you tube grunged at it looked amazing...mine looked like the dog drug it into the yard n buried it in the garden. DIRTY. I couldn't figure out what I had done wrong LOL. NOW IF ITS NOT GRUNGY ENOUGH I PILE ON MORE.

Yay! Getting started on Gunther! The stencil makes me think that perhaps Gunther was abducted by aliens at one point during his adventures. Oh the possibilities are endless. In the surveyors office where I worked, the old field notes books would keep a string taped inside with a small triangle and a small pencil for precise field note taking. Sometimes there were even tiny scales (little rulers) taped inside. Also a small piece of sandpaper would be glued to the cover so that the field crew could sharpen the little pencil while out in the field. These are just to give you some ideas.

So far so good! I’m in Canada so used a few letter sized file folders to make my Gunther cover and pockets as big as yours. They are recycled Kraft type ones so I doubled them up for strength. Can’t wait to see how this guy turns out 😊

Love using file folders to make folios and journals. I appreciate that you use Imperial measurements as well as Metric. When I'm working on file folders, I use an 18 inch ruler for measureing and cutting. I believe that it is just under 46cm.

Hi, I'm in US, I've never seen one like this folder. But just cut a piece the size you want, score at 1/2 inch to fold, and glue on, like we do when we make our own accordian booklet, Tim Holtz style.
