A couple of weeks ago I got a text from a friend of mine who told me she had a conversation with one of her coworkers. This coworker had a fiddle that had been sitting dormant for many years and thought that it should be played.
The story behind the fiddle is that her grandfather was a Watkins salesman in Winnipeg and, he had the great Andy Dejarlis and his wife at the time as clients.
One day, Andy’s wife offered up the fiddle to this lady‘s grandfather in lieu of payment, and he took it, but no one has really played it since.
My friend put her in contact with me and she gifted me the fiddle, which I am happy to put some tunes into and play! I thought it would be appropriate to do an Andy tune on it.
