I’ve had a harmonica for nearly 30 years. I can’t play it, but it has held down papers, guarded my spare parts drawer, and occasionally, it has made my kids laugh hysterically when I’ve tried to play it.

If I'd had teachers of your calibre when I was at school (6 decades ago!) I would have been better educated than I am. Inspirational! I am waiting impatiently for Mr Postman to deliver my Seydel session harmonica

It's great to see how many people are finding comfort in the harmonica after bad experiences and terrible news. You really are doing something special Juzzie, much love from NZ.

bought me today a harmonica cause you kinda inspired me with your show. the sound of old western is mesmerizing. probably the best tip you gave is "never be shy with your harmonica" :D

Thanks for your videos. During the past 2yrs I've been recovering from 2 major surgeries. during the second operation a lung was damage whilst I was interbated. I've been on a waiting list for ENT for a year but during that time I've been seen by breathing doctors. Breathing exsesizes do get boring. So. I picked up a C hammonica to make my breathing exsesizes more fun and hopefully help my collapsed right lung. Ive been through KZbin videos and found you the most inspiring and easiest to follow. My breathing is improving. to think I couldn't string a full sentence together when I went on the ENT waiting list. but one session a day, having fun with my one harmonica rather that boring "breath in... hold... breath out" exercises and I feel much better. Ive not been playing for long, but playing along with you I can hear improvements in both my health and musicily. Thanks!

Wow. Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry to hear about your collapsed lung. Stay connected as I would love to hear how your harmonica playing and breathing improves. Keep having fun!

@JuzzieSmithKZbin Definitely. I kinda fell off the KZbin creator algorithm when I fell apart, so Lots of physiotherapy (had to pritty much learn to walk again). But your videos have made my breathing physiotherapy fun. I've subscribed and if I suddenly become amazing at playing, I'll tag you in a video ;)

This is so straight forward and fun!!! Thanks for teaching all of us how fun it is to learn harmonica!! Just received my Chromatic harmonica and can't wait to follow your instructions. Thanks again!!!

Hi Rod. For these lessons you will need a diatonic key C (also known as a blues harp). Chromatic is a lot of fun also just different.
