Great session! I like the high repetitions on all of the sets and for the 52 kgs at the end, you were totally dominating that weight like a boss! For every exercise, there is a certain weight (going up in weight) where you feel like you have complete control and are all over the thing like a rash. No wobbles, great bar speed, plenty in the tank and so on. Contrast that with the 70.3 kg set, bar speed slower (still good), wobbling a bit as you get it in position (normal), form drifting a bit and so on. It wont be long before you are dominating that weight like you do the 52 kgs. Notice in the 70.3 kg set that as you struggle through it, you change the point on your chest where the bar is touching - it drifts a bit higher each time and near the end you had to tap your shoulders to help you out. As with squats, try to keep that chest touch point consistent and quite low which will naturally bring your elbows down by your sides and you will tap your chest muscles more and less shoulders. Here it comes - think about wearing your belt for a few sets to gauge any improvement as it should improve your bracing. Yup, bracing is just as important in bench as it is with every other lift you do. Keep working on that lazy ass core!!! These days I am having three types of sessions for my lifts - light day (higher reps), medium day (targetting 5 reps) and heavy (1-3 but big effort). I used to just love trying to max out on each session which was fun but I am enjoying alternating now.

Nice! I like the alternating workout thing. I used to do heavy day light day and liked it. I’ve been so busy lately that it’s been hard to get in the gym frequently, so I’ve kind of settled on this once every 3 days pattern. But it keeps me from rotating through the exercises at a reasonable pace. Hoping to get back to more frequent workouts. Thanks for the excellent feedback!
