Why Christians announcing their fasting prayers I thought this kind of fasting it's secret even Jesus went away from people and He never told anyone even His disciples but this pastors of nowadays they are something else

You can fast off some other things, you can decide to stay off social media for a period and use the time to pray, study the word or just worship, listen to spirit filled music

@Yvonne-x6y they are not something else, if you have questions or concerns about something it’s best to ask with humility for understanding. It’s best if we think of dispensation in our reasoning, different dispensation calls for different method or ways of relating with God. Announcing a fasting period is not a sin neither is it a wrong doctrine.
