It is pretty useless in shallow water, except mapping. But it definitely plays for fish and fishing in 10 to 30 foot of water. On deep clear lakes you need it. Not 5 12s like these guys though

He’s the first guy I’ve seen in awhile use a net. Why do most I watch today boat Flip them? They will even boat flip them on mlf when they can get penalized if the fish touches the deck.

Bassmaster your not allowed to use nets i dont think and same with mlf. Not sure why. Flw allowed nets.
