John is straight up, the most down to earth dude. I'll never forget years ago hearing that he was hanging it up for a year b/c of finances. It was so sad to hear. The next year he was back and hasn't stopped yet! If the MLF thought they had the 80 best guys, They missed big time with this guy!! WTG Mr. Cox!

One small graph, aluminum boat, 150 hp motor. Love that he is able to compete and win with less than everyone else. He is the every man fisherman, lots of us can't spend 100 k on a boat, his setup is around 40 k. Just awesome
