Thank you Chef AJ for this guest!!🙏 It almost makes me Cry- when I think of how much we need to shift our medical model to truly help patients, instead of treating them and their injuries/ illnesses like mere Body Parts. Our current medical model is so traumatizing!! I’m as anxious as you are prior to seeing Any new allopathic doctor! Lovely guest!!

Yes, I agree. The medical model is about stripping your body of all of its innate healing abilities and then administering poisons. You have to listen more to what they do not say than what they do say. Integrative medicine is good.

I used to take up to 3 Gabapentin a night to calm down neuropathy in my feet but the pain disappeared 9 years ago when I switched from being vegetarian to to a whole food plant-based lifestyle! Swelling and pain reappeared briefly when I had some bagels for the first time in years. I decided to avoid gluten and have been pain free since. :-)

When you say Whole Foods plant-based, does that mean that you are eating a little bit of meat and dairy?

Great Video today! My 15 year old could not walk due to her IVDD and was back walking after a treatment of acupuncture and laser. It works! My holistic vet has cured many dogs who were paralyzed and are now walking. Chef AJ Keep up the great work!

Fantastic video and subject matter today Chef AJ. Dr. Marc is great, so professional, compassionate and caring. You’re so fortunate to have him as one of your doctors. It’s a shame that is so difficult to find doctors that will provide that level of care, treat the whole body, not just the symptoms. I have a whole new interest and respect for acupuncture. Thanks!

Really great session today. So very interesting and informative. I hadn't listened to or read much about acupuncture before, so this was some great education. Thank you.

I am getting acupuncture for chemo induced neuropathy twice a month for two months (that is all that is covered by my insurance). It has lessened the pain. Thinking positively about the future 😊 I have had sessions for back pain in the past and it was VERY helpful and so relaxing.

I love acupuncture. I used it years ago to help me with food allergies. IT WORKED! I was able to eat foods like wheat that I couldn't touch for years. But since it was an out-of-pocket expense, I couldn't keep up with the treatments. Would go back, but is still too expensive.

1:05:41 Great info! I'm 70 and had my first back injury at 17. Been on gaba and opioids since 2003. I would love to try acupuncture. I just started having knee pain and the doctor didn't even really do an exam and said "it's arthritis". I'd love to try it for sleep. Great to know medicare covers it for low back pain. I also have chronic sciatica.

If you change your diet to a WFPBSOS, you will notice that this will make a big difference. In doing so, eat ground flaxseed yeast 3 times a day to reduce inflammation, also eat lots of anti-inflammatory foods such as sweet potatoes, wild blueberries, redbuds etc. Also acupuncture on the whole neck, back to rump, shoulder blades, feet, arms, legs helps a lot to get the facia and lymphatic system going. Rubbing flaxseed oil with a few drops of essential oil also helps after a few applications. All the best for you

@PlantbasedSilvi I have been wfpb sos free for probably 10 years. You can't fix degenerative issues with diet. At some point I had a thoracic fracture. But thank you. Essential oils are my blessing.

Acupuncture was very helpful for me for relieving nerve pain around my ear. Drug didn't help much only dulled the pain slightly. I continued Acupuncture weekly then biweekly then continued to tapper off. I go back now only if I begin to feel it but haven't in the last 5 years. My insurance did cover it along with massage in Florida.

I am really enjoying this series; how can I rewatch some of the episodes? On another episode, a breathing tube was mentioned that helped with anxiety; but I didn't get the name or link to get it. Chef AJ, please get rest and relaxation. This series is very informative but you don't have to do them every day. Please get your rest 😅which will help on your healing journey.❤ You are amazing!!

Thank you! You can re-watch all episodes on my KZbin channel: www.youtube.com/@CHEFAJ/streams. The breathing tube is called webe kalm---you can find it on Amazon.
