Great job! Does Viking have a supplemental fee for the kayaks? Ponant had a $350 fee per person...and you needed proof you could swim 150 feet and an ekg (I guess France has a lot of litigation attorneys).

No, all activities were included on the Antarctic trip. No extra fees for Kayak, Special Ops boat or Submarine (if it had worked).

Can you get a single kayak if you want? Als was wondering if they have black out blinds on window in room. After all, it is light most of the time. Thank you so much again. I am so excited for our trip in Nov -Dec.

I don't think you could get a single kayak, since they only had a single for the guide, but maybe if you ask in advance they could arrange it. Yes, they definitely have black-out blinds. I need complete dark to sleep and they did a great job. 👍

Which position on the kayak steers?

I think both seats had the controls next to them but we steered only from the back by ageeement, not sure what would happen if both people tried to steer at the same time in different directions 🤷‍♂️😂
