I went out to Chester Montana for the wheat harvest year ago....owner had a “fleet” of JD 55’s....no cabs....so really enjoy watching “todays” harvest equipment....

The wheat is drilled. I don’t know that there’s a certain row width with that. They are a no-til farm with rotation of spring wheat, winter wheat, barley and I believe fallow.

This sweet spot gets timely rains and produces the best crops! It’s a “bench” between mountain ranges and just south of the Missouri River.

does the wind blowing the the straw or dust into the uncut wheat , pollute the sample or the marketability of the crop, due you take this into consideration, as I see a lot of dust blowing onto uncut wheat.I assume that a sample is taken somewhere to make sure that the crop is clean. Do you maintain some sort of standards for this.?
