Day 6 - Daily run of Noita until I complete it

As I got great tips that you can edit your wand spells this run was just a experimental run, but still got pretty far... Still got destroyed in snowy depths...
The Challenge/Goal:
Basically the challenge is to get one of the endings of Noita. I don't know how long will it take, but I try my best.

Your water flasks greatest ability is to dilute toxic sludge into more water, even with just a drop, you can mix it with your spells. Anytime you see a sludge pool you can eliminate its threat by putting some water in it!

Dang you got two 2 S tier perks from gambling one that saves you multiples times from death and one that lets you edit wands anywhere couple tips 1. flasks are powerful having at least one for water to dispel negative stains is essential, remember you can fill flasks with anything 2. some spells can hurt you like the blades and lasers you took about 200dmg just from self dmg 3. Pouches those bags in the beginning carry materials which have some very specific purposes best not to worry about them unless they contain gold(free money) or purifying powder (stuff you found last run) that turns liquids/materials into water

I also just started playing noita a few days ago. And always having a water bottle at hand is SO important. Especially early when I die (or just take lots of damage early) its most likely cause I spawned with polymorph or some other liquid that doesnt extinguish fire, and havent been able to find water yet. Always get wet before picking up gold in firey sections is a life saver. Also spraying such water everytime into the toxic sludge pools. Cause I know i dont dodge all of the time, and getting knocked down I prefer to fall into a pool of water instead of toxic sludge hah I like the blades so much, but as you said... I also always take damage myself from them. The arrows are dangerous too if you add them after a trigger spell and then firing back lol

Here's a tip that's obvious once you hear it, but very few new players actually think of it: Try putting your Spark Bolt on your bomb wand 😉

Another very good run with some fun looking wands! I would like to add that it can be worth building a digging wand. Often times you can see gold embedded within the walls of the caves. Sometimes it's not worth all the bombs to get, but when you only need a couple it's not always a bad idea. Plus having a digging wand helps you escape some sticky situations

Yeah this is a nice idea. How do I know if they penetrate walls? Do I just have to experiment?

@@Bl4start I'm not 100% sure but I think most spells that nake reference to digging/drilling in their name along with most explosive spells will certainly make a dent in the environment. The only spell I know for sure is great for digging is a black hole spell but I'm pretty sure they're very rare

Pro tip : freeze makes melee damage insanely more powerful, so casting that circle of stillness, luring enemies inside then kicking them is a good way of getting rid of high hp enemies. Although the luring process might be dangerous.

You got very lucky with that gamble perk (it gave you two VERY good perks), but in my opinion concentrated spells was the better choice. Only because I know how it works though. Concentrated spells adds 12.5 damage per each spell on the wand. So your sawblade does 20. Thats 20+12.5=32.5 But thats not all, remember I said 'per' each spell: if you have two spells, it adds 12.5+12.5 to EACH spell. thats 25 damage (from concentrated spells) on top of the base 20 sawblade damage for EACH spell which is 45 damage. So total its 45 for the first saw and then another 45 for the second. Resulting in 90 for both. Now, you had 3 sawblades. Thats 37.5 (12.5 x 3) on top of EACH sawblade (20 damage per), which is 172.5 damage (37.5+20=50.5 x 3) IN JUST THREE SPELLS. That wand had 6 slots. Can you imagine the exponential power? If you used a multicast to shoot them all at once, you'd do 172.5 damage in ONE SHOT. Granted, I wouldn't do it with a sawblade because of its ability to damage the player character, but I hope my math shows just how powerful concentrated spells. It ALSO lowers the spread of your spells by so much that you can use the multi-cast modifiers that add spread (I don't believe you've seen any so far) as if they were regular multicasts because the spread is completely negated. The only negative of the perk is that it adds a little recoil and still gives the +12.5 damage to spells meant to heal you, resulting in healing spells damaging you. Those negative effects only really come into play on much longer runs where you plan to beat bosses and discover secrets. All in all, concentrated spells is an insanely powerful perk, especially for a beginner run that only intends to beat the boss. Whoops, couldn't keep it short again.

Ok, so by now you know that water is very useful and that some of the potions you get aren't that useful if you don't know how they work. You are able to refill empty potions, simply by standing with them equipped in a pool of liquid. Do you see where I'm going with this? ;) Also: that was one of the luckiest perk lotteries I've ever seen!

Yeah Thanks! I just had a thought that I can empty a potion and fill it with water at the start of the run. This could be useful!

Man you are progressing fast, it may seem that it is not much but you are exploring so much more which is very important. Also i noticed that you wanted to make a fast wand in the first temple, try putting a different spell in your bomb wand it is faster but has almost none mana recharge and only one slot. You are doing great and have fun noitering around ;)

you waste so much hp on toxic damage. having a water flask is important, you can spray out everything out of the non-water flask you get and fill it up with water.

There are 2 types of wands in Noita. There are "Shuffle" wands and "Non-shuffle" wands. This is pretty important for wand building and consistency. On a non-shuffle wand it will always shoot spells left-to-right, so you could put modifiers on the left of a spell to apply it each time. A shuffle wand will randomly pick the order instead, randomly modifying spells on the wand or not being picked at all. A very common and easy wand to make with "Shuffle: No" and 2 slots is to put a "With trigger" spell before a dangerous spell. For example, if you got "Spark Bolt With Trigger" and put it to the left of the "Plasma Cutter" (The green laser you walked into), then you would shoot the spark bolt like normal, but it would cast the laser on impact. It delivers a spell, usually dangerous for you, directly to the enemies face. Just make sure you have enough MAX MANA to cast both spells together.

I would like to point out that in a shuffle wand, every spell is still cast, just in a random order. There is no spell skipping unless you're out of casts, and even then, an empty cast would count as a cast for multicast purposes

@@galactic8608 He called this an experimental run now that he knows he can edit wands. I think distinguishing between two 2 types is integral to the game when it games to putting 2 different spells on one wand

Hmmm. Thanks for taking your time and explaining this. The first thought I had that when someone gave me an advice about changing the spells that they stack. For example I could give the bolt and plasma cutter at the same time.... And that 'with trigger' advice is excellent. Thanks!
