Awesome teaching on marriage. I praise God for my husband. We have been married for 37 years. He was a drug addict & alcoholic & I was an alcoholic. We got saved & we put Jesus in the center of our marriage that was in 86. I was listening to a pastor on TV and he said to pray for God to change me & not to worry about my husband that God was able to change him & he did. Today we both love God & respect each other, our marriage is healthy. We have learned to give each other grace. We love doing things together and laughing. I believe by knowing how much God loves & forgives you, you are able to extend his grace to others.

I think if we are dealing with difficult people, it’s also important to watch our thoughts. If we’re always thinking they’re going to react in the same way then we will always be in a state of judgement and defence. I need to change the script and think positively to at least give them a chance. People are on and have come from all sorts of different journeys, so they will be more willing to adapt if we not only show love but BECOME love and not add to their pain 🙏

Don’t give up. I have stage four metastatic cancer and my prognosis is sketchy. However, I live each day singularly and never project the future. Yes it’s hard but Jesus loves you so much he will always guide you. Take it one day at a time. Every night is followed by a new day of light and blessings. Hang in there my friend things will and do improve. Hold onto your faith in Jesus and you can’t go wrong. Never give in to the accuser, you are one of God’s children and he has toy in then palm of his hand.

Based on my experiences, it can be difficult to communicate or connect with coworkers, strangers, and even family members. But, talking, asking, and praying God are the opposite. I am forever grateful to Him for sending me a caring friend of 5 years. Now, she and I have an amazing online business together. Next year, our website will be finished so that we can help others find true love, respect, loyalty, etc.

😆I remember when Joel said he was going to name the title of this message instead of "How to deal with Difficult People" he was going to give the message the title " How to deal with Friends Family and Coworkers" omg Coworkers 🤦😩they are something else if it wasn't for listening to Joel every morning before work I wouldnt have made it and extra 5years making it 15yrs total with this place I'm happy to work in healthcare I have the gift of helps-- it's just the throughout different seasons I just wouldn't have made it without Joel's practice teaching that helped me.navigate in deed and thought throughout the day was my saving grace 🙇

I've found that sound-cancelling headphones have been awesome in tough relationships :) I think starting with a positive outcome for the day with prayer helps, and understanding you sometimes have to accept the person, warts and all ( goes both ways and is about tolerance). Personally, me and my wife agree on so many things, but politically, we clash - therefore, we tend to play that down or take it less seriously and focus more on what brings us together. Tough at the moment as we are heading for a new election in NZ

I wonder about control. We all want to have selfcontrol and rule our own small world, under God's control. But then in a couple we have shared control. And what a mess that is, I don't know. At times people look like theritory animals, if not worse. And raising up children could be an argument. Me, for example, don't like dangerous activities, even climbing montains ... And the snakes, and the rollers, and ... I just don't know yet. :D I would be "don't touch my child" all day long, haha!

I grew up in a church that only preached brimstone and fire. Always feeling guilty, shamed and never good enough. I appreciate his teachings, however I do read the Bible everyday. I find his words encouraging and if you ask me we need to look on the bright side these days.

A church with no hope for the future scares people away, but a church that teaches just rainbows and butterflies ignores the full picture of God and no one new entering will truly know Him unless they seek apart from the church. Joel also lives in deep hypocrisy. Anyone with that much wealth is not a follower of the humble Christ.
