All looking very professional but like Mrs Metalman said, nothing like her dad when he worked in the pits when she was a kid. Feel sorry for the horses who had to work down there and the miners as well to be fair and I bet they never told you that you had to do some work down there as well lol. It was tight going down that ladder mind but what a size that cavern was and that massive chandler was amazing. Talking about amazing St Marys was just that too, a must see for sure and difficult for the castle to live up to the church but loved the flying horses statue and who could ever forget the ladies stunning artistic poses at the end, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan, I'm sure it was grim being a salt miner but Linda has a valid point. Health and Safety was well observed in our trip but 150 years ago I'm sure it wasn't. Krakow was definitely well worth visiting, a lot of history, buildings, and memorable things to see, glad we went. Andrea tells me you've reached 4k subscribers - well done, you've hit the big time now!! I'm inching towards 4k hours, get there by Christmas!! Thanks for watching, regards, Ashley

The mine looked really interesting Ashley. Hard to imagine what it must have been like to work long shifts underground. Quite a spectacular church. Another good day on your trip. Cheers. Eddie.

Thanks Eddie, great to hear from you. I would prefer to be above ground but it was a great experience and got a good insight to the conditions. We were down just over 300 feet but the mine goes to a depth of 1000 feet so its very extensive. I see you've been back in the lakes so will watch your video shortly, I'm working on another venture at the moment! All the best, Ashley

Hi Ashley, I am like you, I also prefer to be above ground, but as you say, a great experience! Cheers. Eddie.

What a video Ashley, stuff like this has me glued to the screen. It's amazing how they mined out 300km of shafts taking into consideration every thing from eating, praying and making equipment. When the charge went off did yous feel it? it looked you all shook, I kinda got the effect the floor shook. What an experience could you not taste the salt in the air? The chandelier was impressive. Best way to end the day ice-cream and a great screen saver. Take care mate thanks for sharing.

Thank you David, not something we can do over here. The charge was a bit fake, the guide pressed a button behind her!! Have another video out later today, made a visit to Co Leitrim and did a very flat walk - I'm building suspense!! Thanks for watching, regards, Ashley
