After an emergency bivouac that turned out to be the right decision, to avoid hypothermia during the descent (there were hours left to reach Planoles and the temperature dropped sharply), it was time to start the route to Puigcerdà. At approximately 5 in the morning I receive a visit from a trusting fox, who unsuccessfully tries to get me to give it food (it is very counterproductive for them, you should not feed them or touch them, it is better to scare them).
I fill up with water at the Font de l'Home Mort, I arrive at the Collet de les Barraques where I have breakfast and begin the descent towards Planoles, passing through the Corral Blanc refuge, a pronounced leg-breaking descent to later begin the 700m ascent again. unevenness to Coll de la Creu de Meians at 2000m, passing through the town of Dòrria.
A pleasant walk in a spring atmosphere, leaving behind the mountains of the Puigmal area and welcoming Cerdanya, with its capital Puigcerdà. Going down towards Puigcerdà you can see peaks such as Puigpedrós or Carlit in the French Pyrenees. A long stage of 36 kilometers that brings us closer to Andorra and some of the most epic stages of this trans-Pyrenean winter season.
