"And then we're going to see the escalation. You think I have a ramp in my deck? Wait till you hear this song" is a great quote xD

I hope Avril Lavigne sees this and laughs as hard as I did when he was like "Avril Lavigne!" at 7:34!

It wasn't just a crush that didn't pan out, the idea is that she snubbed him even though she liked him, just cause her friends didn't approve. It is a bit harsh, but it's kind of like a fable in a way, a cautionary tale like "don't be that guy/girl". Also I always mixed up Avril and Alanis too. Edit: ONE MOA TING. It wasn't that having a baby is bad, but that she ended up alone with a baby, implying she chose poorly, likely on account of going with what her friends approved of. Her judgment would have been great, if only she'd listened to it instead of going with the crowd.

The thing is that the two of them are writing the song five years later though. So it's more of a revenge fantasy than anything. They don't know that she secretly loved him. They don't know that she would come to the show and pine after him. She might not even want that life, maybe she prefers her quiet life with her kid.

I see "ONE MOA TING" and I think of Jackie Chan Adventures. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for.

A few years late, but another thing I'm curious about... where and when was this where "skater boys" were not at least semi-popular? Like oh wow you dated the bad boy rebel because you saw "the soul inside"? Were those guys ever considered undesirable *outside* of shitty high school movies? Come back when you got with the nerdy kid with the body odour and the nervous stutter. Then we can talk about not being shallow. Like the guy was part of a very trendy sub-culture and probably already played in a band? As I recall that got you some game.

Ty for the upload! Has Sean ever tried to grow a beard? He looks like he could really grow a magnificent one. Also I love that child's voice that Sean always does, it's so funny.

He seems to get the beard to this point, and then get frustrated and shave it :P
