Badfinger plays Day After Day live! - Nicely done by a superb band, but no piano, which is a signature of the original glorious George Harrison production. Pete Ham amazes once again.

I'm probably gonna sound so silly when I say this but I really want to thank you all for the amazing comments you put on this video. I'm related to Pete and I'm seriously honoured to be from his family, you come to Swansea and ask if anyone knows about this band and they look at you clueless. I've done it so many times and only one person knew who they were. It makes me so happy reading the comments from all over the world so yeah, thank you all x

One of the finest songs of the 1970's... Produced by George Harrison, who along with Pete Ham, played slide on the original recording. Leon Russell contributed the song's piano track. Trivia note: the Gibson SG guitar played by Pete was originally George's, who used it prominently on "Revolver" and "The White Album", as well as the killer solo on "Hey Bulldog". It was a gift to Pete in 1970, who used it until the end of his life in 1975.

Miss this band so much...but they will always be with us in song and spirit. That is Long after these corporate greed-mongerers are dead and buried, the greatness of "Badfinger" shall live on! Every time I hear their music, I am transported back to a simpler time...kinder and gentler by to-day's standards even though there was and will always be evil lurking in the shadows somewhere. Heaven does not need the Corporate Hall of Fame to declare its greatness-- neither do heavenly beings.

I rather loop back in time to the 70's era , no internet . or cable, landline phones . Gas a dollar or less , if you smoked , for 40 cents a pack, buy3-4 big bags of groceries for under $20 No times weren't a lot better still hard , but least the world seemed smaller back then , music was for all to hear Rock , jazz, Motown , and pop music as this song as this had heart and soul as We still listened to the FM radio . Whenever I listen to a song like this always enlightens Me an takes Me back to that certain place

I was a preteen when their songs came out. They touched my soul. What is very ironic is that when I went through a very tough time and was considering suicide I knew I wouldn't be able to hear their music. They played a huge part of keeping me here for my loved ones which include 3 little grandchildren. There is a place for these guys in heaven and a place in hell for the people who destroyed their souls. Thank you for sharing this incredible memory!

I really don't want to imagine a world without this song in it...it's just so good; it trancends music and speaks directly to your heart, and makes it stronger. Note to musicians and potential musicians: this is the goal! Remember we do it to make people feel the way this song makes you feel, not for the money. That's never guaranteed, as our boy Pete here proves. Because if anyone deserved to get paid for their tunes it would have been him. but I guess not even god could put a price on this.

I have been researching a spate of rocker deaths in the mid to late seventies, and it seems fake how many of them all knew each other and were connected to Apple Records etc. I say fake, and not suspicious , because there is a similar thread running through a lot of these stories regarding band breakups, money troubles , insurance policies, royalties spats etc. ,and purported suicides or accidental deaths... I hate to say it but it looks like insurance jobs. Faked deaths.

I wish I could go back in time and find Pete and Tom right before they hung themselves, and give them whatever money they needed to stay afloat. Pay off bills..etc. I wouldn't want anything in return except more music. It was their crooked manager Stan Polly who was involved with the mob, and took all of Badfinger's money. In Pete's suicide letter he pointed to Stan Polley for his financial ruin and suicide.

The great songs sung with so much love and beauty from Pete and Tom...Pete had the most amazingly beautiful voice,,he still brings tears to my eyes are after all these years and seeing how their manager destroyed his life pains me."Take It All " stands up along with Golden Slumbers as a powerhouse vocal and it seems to address the rip offs before Pete ever really believed they were being ripped off . His trustful innocence is a big part of what made his songs so powerful and beautiful.

Banc_of_Armenia I got a Panasonic AM/FM cassette recorder/player for Christmas 1972. I loved that player. You could literally hear it 2 blocks away, clearly on high volume without blowing the speaker. I made my own tapes from the radio. Cut down on having to buy 45s after that. It last for years. One of the best Christmas presents I ever got.

This song reminds me of hippie days, living in a deep canyon of the San Andrea Fault in the Santa Cruz Mountains in 1972. I'd open my cabin's windows, crank-up the volume of my stereo, and hike the steep mountain forest listening to the music echoing throughout the canyon Redwoods for all my hippie neighbors! It was good to be home after Army days abroad, listening to the only clear FM radio stations (KOME, San Jose and KSAN, San Francisco) that penetrated Stevens Canyon, playing the best Rock-and-Roll in the nation back then!

Heard this song on the radio this morning and I just HAD to find out who they were. The only thing I could catch was...BAD... So I immediately had the assumption that it was none other than...BAD COMPANY! Still...this song (which I've heard many times before) is as gripping, moving and beautiful as for instance "REMINISCING" by THE LITTLE RIVER BAND. What better way than to close the day, after a hard day's work, and to listen to one of these timeless songs on the radio. Rock on...

+alan chrisman Was Pete Ham the vocalist? Wow, one of the founding members of the 27 club. How tragic. Always loved this song. I was 8 when it was released.

Absolutely one of the most underrated bands of all time....Pete Ham was a genius....no telling what he could have done if he were still around.....they got screwed, and were basically penniless...even in their heyday....believe it or not....just a sad sad story....they belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame NOW...

I grew up on this music when I was in elementary school. Haven't heard it much over the years. Somehow I stumbled on Badfinger again this past week. I knew 2 of their members committed suicide but not the circumstances. Wow - what a bummer and big loss of 2 talented men who died way too young. Sometimes people can really suck at what they do to others.

Same as Eric Carmen, Badfinger deserves a film about their life, music, etc, Peter Ham and entire band. RIP
