heres a word of advice don't be perfect with your drawings cause your going to hate them 99% of the time, if you are a perfectionist your going to be starting over and over and over. don't get hooked on drawing perfectly if your going into animation.

I am a senior in college (studying advertising/motion graphics) and really hope to get a job in this or traditional 2D animation some day. Working on a lot of stuff for my demo demo reel. I can't help but feel, even if Toon Boom and After Effects are better, one should know Flash since it is used by so many studios still. Pain sometimes, but opened the door to what I really want to do with my degree.

Hi, I have done this short animation last year and it took me a lot! The problem is that flash hangs a lot and you must know how painful is loosing kilometers of animation stuff...Do you have the same issue? What's the best 2D software animation? Is toon boom better than our friend?

Vinxent Prosper:: decide what kind of Animation program you want to animate with.i learned Adobe Flash Pro cc..i watched many tutorials here on youtube.I didn't even go to school.And today I know more than the basics.+ I learned other software animation programs.I still do want to get courses in school, to get certified and directed to the right places..it's just my passion..But it is time-consuming patients, but don't Give up if your serious about it I myself familiarize my with Adobe Flash Pro cc, and got inspired by Alen Becker,Jazza,Jesse Jones,kelzad,krinkels,Ect.just keep practising, and don't worry if you mess up, you can always start over and over, check out Alen Becker, he guides you on step by step tutorials..

This really just makes me wonder if pivot animator 1-4.2.8 is being used for animating schools or academies because if pivot can be used to the full extent u can make great animations with it. Example ? Search : Bruno acosta DDC 12 (isolated) . This animation will prove my point

animation in flash is damn tough .... gotta apply key to objects every time we move unlike 3d softwares ....... where everythn goes automatically :)

Flash is just a pain in the butt to use for Animators. I find Toon Boom and TVpaint much more intuitive.

no, it's not dead, you just don't have an imagination, today's t.v. cartoons are done with the Adobe Flash pro.
