This is such beautiful video of that section! I love the ridge walk and the Jump-off descent to the NOC. I'm going to hike that section some day. Your video of Little Bear going down it really gives perspective of how steep it is. The contrast of the winter colors at the top and the green and wildflowers at the bottom is so cool! My favorite topography on any trail is ridge walking. That was some of the best. Beautiful time with family. Love the "eeewww" from LB. You will get over that soon enough! NOC has some awesome rafting and zip lining in the summer! Nantahala means "land of the noon day sun" in Native, because it's in such a deep valley, the sun only hits it mid day. I am so happy you got to fill up your cup with your family!!

Thanks so much! My husband would love to be with us, but he is still working and can’t get time off. My son would like to join us, but the timing is off. He is building his business and can’t be on trail for 6 months. My other 2 girls move the outdoors, hiking and camping, but not long distance backpacking. So, it’s just Little Bear and I on this adventure. But, we have the best support crew back home! 😊
