Just a hint for a much better white rice. Wash your rice in a colander first until the water is rinsing out clear (the starch is what makes the rice clumpy, by washing it first it will be a looser rice), add your rice and water to the pot and add salt to taste as well as a tablespoon of oil. Like pasta, rice has zero flavor unless it is seasoned. Then cook as you normally would. You will find it to be better tasting and a looser grain. I also sometimes cook the rice in a half and half combo of water and chicken stock, or add a chicken bouillon to the water. You won't ever go back to plain ol' boring white rice.

Thanks to our neighbors, we had plates of food this year! They’re getting the same in return along with hand painted ornaments for Christmas! It really is the little things. You need a trash bag, a dirty clothes bag, and a random stuff that goes in the house bag when cleaning it out. Also you could tie a bag handle around the back of a headrest, so they can maybe, possibly, get trash in it... (I know I know, I have kids lol) worth a shot though.

I made my turkey this year with Ranch dressing paprika garlic powder and parsley add chicken broth it is so juicy and tender y’all should try it your family will love it

If you’re doing a wet brine you are wasting your time by putting oil and seasonings on the bird itself. The brine tenderizes and flavors the turkey. If you do a wet brine just mix your seasonings in the salt/sugar solution. If you do a dry brine do not oil it! Just rub your seasoning on and put it in the fridge. Both work well.

A tip that may help before you oil and season the turkeys, first stab your turkeys all over with a fork allowing the seasoning to steep through the turkeys giving extra flavour. Hope this helps for the next time, happy thanksgiving from the uk.

Please do not take this the wrong way....maybe when the kids leave the car they pickup there trash. The older kids are old enough to help with the laundry. Every one is responsible for cleaning up their bedrooms.

Helpful tip on the broccolli, you should get a spray bottle and fill it with the oil. You use way less and more even coverage. It’s a healthy hack

Sorry but I don’t get the turkey process. The paper towels absorbed most of the oil and seasoning. If you were putting it in a bag you could have just put the whole turkey in with the spices and oil and shook the bag 🤦‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I really love watching your channel and watching the activities that you do and that you share with us… But I think you need to make the kids responsible for cleaning up after themselves. You already worked so hard…if you would’ve had the 4 older children in that van they could’ve cleaned all of that mess… like making them responsible for picking up their rooms, if you don’t have them do that now …they will never want to clean up after themselves… You’re a really good mom but pass on the responsibility to the kids… Happy belated Thanksgiving

No better feeling than a clean car! I am actually a little crazy with my car and do a quick wipe down and vacuum every week. I used to spend a lot of time in my car so wanted it to be clean and peaceful. Now I work from home full-time but my obsession never ended! I don’t have kids though so it’s easier said than done!

We have a Tropical Smoothie Cafe near us and I pulled up the nutrition once on their website...the smoothies are unfortunately total sugar bombs w like 75-100+g of sugar in most of the larger ones and 40-60g in the smaller ones. It's important to know but I'm so sorry to be a buzzkill :( !!

While most families had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving, I along with my family sat in a tiny waiting room waiting on the birth of my great nephew. We were there for 24 hours because he had been served his "eviction notice" to vacate and was waiting it out. Your videos kept me motivated while we waited through the night.

For me each year for my family of six everybody has their own color or design for wrapping paper like for me my son always buys pink camo and then he has regular camo and my daughter has teal colored camo and then the grandsons have whatever character they like most that year.. I wish I could send you the laundry bags that my laundromat has they're like the super heavy duty canvas nylon type I've had one of those bags for like 12 years now and they're huge well huge to me and everybody in my family has a different color and then there's a line on the bottom of them where you can write everybody's name and that's what we use in my family everybody puts their laundry and their color bag and because we're off grid now I have to take it to the laundromat but by next summer I should have my front load washer and dryer that's in storage since August installed in my new tiny cabin and then I won't have to worry about going to the laundromat.. anymore, I realized how much I preferred having my own washer and dryer after not having to use the laundromat in 20 years it is so tedious.. But next year with the help of a 12 volt water pump and my generator laundry can be done once a week..
