When they start walking, the child and is together pick up the floors,bedroom,under the bed,in the closet and bathroom of all their toys,shoes,pillows,anything that they played with or just dragged out,before they go too bed. In the morning,they crawl out of bed,child and make the bed.. by the time they are three and potty trained. They do all this without being asked or used as punishment.. as adults they still adhere to this form of discipline s and self respect

I'm 62 and still don't make my own bed. I think she's doing a great job with the children all in all. I lived in some foster homes that were terrible and I had to clean. I didn't learn much except I was a toy for the dad and less than them in general. I love Alicia.

Why are you cleaning teenagers rooms for them?
@merandareed20852 жыл бұрын
That’s why you shouldn’t allow your kids to have drinks or food in there room if they can’t be responsible enough to throw stuff away
@elizabethrodriguez27882 жыл бұрын
These kids need responsibility forsure. They need to learn how to be independent and they need to earn their allowances.

@@Kirsten_is_cursed10 it’s common for teens to care about clothing brands. Most things they buy are off brand. Almost all their food is store brand and clothes from Walmart. They don’t all own designer clothes, fancy cars and thousand dollar bags.

most of those kids are old enough to pick up their own room and for sure bring their lunch boxes into the kitchen that's things they can pick up after themselves and you shouldn't have to do that maybe the little ones but not the older ones

A lot of you need to stop being so judgemental and trying to tell her how to run her household. If you don't agree with what she does with HER family then get over it and stop looking at her videos. She will do it the way she wants to and with what works with her family

She probably does kids' room and things to stay busy because my children are grown. My son still stays with me because he is disabled but he can do things I do all the cooking and most of the cleaning we will work together. My daughter and grandson do not stay with me but I wash everyone's clothes and fold them and my son and I help my daughter keep her house clean I do it to stay busy.

Thought u needed to conserve water because u have Septic? Did u hookup to town sewer yet ❓
@pennykafai96012 жыл бұрын
I am not exactly sure why you can’t use your dishwasher I thought it was because your sewer can’t cope with the amount of water going through the waste pipes!!???? But surely the amount of running water (over 10 minutes) is far more than what a dishwasher would use. Please correct me if I am making a wrong assumption.

I think the older children should be making their own beds, throwing trash away, picking up all their stuff and putting it away, and putting dirty laundry in a basket. Their old enough to know better. They can do dishes, run the vaccum and dust. Geeeeee teach them now!!!!!

Keeping house is a never ending job. I'm amazed at all of what you and your husband do to provide your children a safe and secure environment. I grew up in a home with 5 brothers in a 750 square foot home. Im adopted, but I still had to do my share,, lol We all did chores but in reality my parent did a lot of behind the scenes stuff that kept our home running smoothly. My mom loved having us around and she worked hours on end homesteading. I think if each child did 1 chore each and was responsible for upkeeping their rooms, it would surely help. I made my kids clean their rooms meaning the following.... Make the bed Pick up and put clothes away in drawers or closets Put toys away at the end of the day Put all trash in proper cans or recycling. Once a week vacuum and dust their rooms if they are old enough. We began this process at age 2. I'm an extremely tidy person, but I had to let my kids learn how to be responsible and keep their rooms liveable. Other than that I do everything else. As a mom of a 21 and 17 year old if I could do anything different it would probably be teaching my kids the basics of housekeeping in a more thorough and effective way outside of just making them clean their rooms. Lol I was too much of a perfectionist to teach them and I doted on them when it came to my role as mother. It's easy to do. My love language is acts of service. But in the end, do whats best for you and what works best for your family unit. There's no right or wrong way of how much or little you express your love when you give your time and energy towards your family. ❤ you're a great mom but a little help is okay as well.

Alicia, I really thank you and your husband for reaching out to help the kids. Just a thought, a contest for the kids. Clean Room award!!!! Every Day chart with sticker. You acknowledge any way you want!!! Make it fun! Another suggestion you say you have to do laundry out because of septic tank issue, perhaps the water used in washing dishes could be limited. You are loved!
