Day In My Life As A Mom To A Child With Special Needs | Cardiology Appointment

Denver Has Severe Aortic Root Dilation, Severe MPA Dilation, & Moderate Leaky Valves. He will be having surgery on his Aortic Valve this summer & give him the best quality of life possible! Cardiology Days are hands down the hardest on us. It's the biggest concern he has, and causing many issues. We get an official surgery date soon and are praying this helps him tremendously. I mention in this video that his BNP #'s were in the 900 back in February, we are happy to say that this number has stayed relatively stable now even in May!! This is a BIG win for us as even our cardiologist thought they would come back elevated. He is responding better to his medicine now that we are on a larger dose and it's beginning to show!

I’m a huge nutcracker fan and I listen to the music as well as swan lake on our Alexa ! 🤍 If we ever have a girl her name would be Clara 🤍 all his favourite toys are actually pianos 🥹 his favourite song is the happy song by Imogen heap, he always calms down during appointments if it’s on ! @@isabellajoyy awesome! when I was a kid, I saw the musical Cats and was obsessed when I was about 7. it's so cute how much he LOVES your kitty. not long ago they released a pretty decent Cats musical/movie - maybe when the boys are a little older they would like it? there's also the original Old Possum's book of practical Cats by T.S. Eliot which is a book of light poetry written in 1939 - essentially all the songs from the musical in poetry form. I never got into any other musicals tho. my mom was a ballet dancer with the NYCB (she was born in New York and moved to Canada when she was 20ish) until her late teens. so as a kid we would always go see the Nutcracker around Christmas. you seem like a very interesting person, and I think your channel could be an excellent educational and advocacy tool, as well as source of support and comfort for other families (young and old) who love someone with infantile Marfan syndrome. have faith in yourself and trust your gut. you are already leading by example, and I'm sure you have many invaluable ideas to share! 🌞💙🌻💙🌞 🩵⭐🍀⭐🩵 🌻💙🐱💙🌻 🩵⭐🍀⭐🩵 🌞💙🌻💙🌞

I remember hospital days when i was kid. They were exhausting. Even now if I can't separate appointments ok different days, it's long days for me as an adult. I have heart issues and Noonan Syndrome. Also i understand the frustration of being rare.

We go to children’s hospital there ! We live about an hour away from Calgary ! We luckily have had amazing care with Denver, our cardiologist is amazing !

Im new to your channels and am praying for Denver I know first hand how hard it is I was born with Teratology of Fallot and have had 3 open heart surgeries and 15+ caths procedures but im not sure of what Denvers condition is since this is the first video I've seen but I also have Pulmonary valve dilation its know as PVS (Pulmonary Valve Stenosis and I was born with mine to the point that after a few months I was born my valved stopped working and had to be replaced and I just got it ballooned this last summer after having my stent for 12 years Praying for Denver and for your family stay strong and that God will give y'all a surgery Date and for peace in these hard times!

oh, I know 3 heart surgeries would have been so hard, you are so incredibly strong 🤍 Denver has neonatal marfan syndrome & also has dilated pulmonary valve and they just sutured it smaller it sounds like? it was secondary to his aortic root dilation so I really don't know as much about it especially since it came on quick within the last few months! do you need oxygen? 🤍 Thank you for your kindness & this comment, I loved hearing your story! 💪

@@isabellajoyy yea I’m never heard that condition for I’ll look more into it I’m glad they were able to suture Denver’s so successfully and praying for a full recovery for him from surgery it’s not always easy but I know after my surgeries even though you may hurt a little I always felt better from the work they did and yes I did have oxygen for about the first few years of my life maybe got it off when I was around 4 had the exact same little tin oxygen tank Denver has and also had a G tube but luckily was able to get my G tube take out at 5 as well love that y’all are sharing your story and Denver’s story love seeing other patients journey like mine was one thing that has now inspired me to go into Echo to help other kids like me and Denver

My baby girl was healthy and doing all the normal things. I woke up to a baby without life, and now I would give anything for just one more day. If you ever need to vent, talk, or even laugh, feel free to message me. I stopped talking to people after I lost my Alana. I felt like no one understood. They are! It's common for people with Marfan Syndrome to have big feet and hands :) I have heard of many young teens over 6.5 feet and still growing with this condition! He will definitely tower over Draven pretty soon.
