My grandson Joseph Jacob was diagnosed with 4th stage Hodgkins Lymphoma. I prayed with faith that I will not tell anyone about the cancer but surely God will heal Joseph Jacob and I will testify that Jesus Christ is the only true living LORD God our Healer. May he was diagnosed and June he was treated ànd in July he was declared Cancer free. All glory honour, praise and power be to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY FATHER in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST our LORD GOD ALMIGHTY Healer.

I also had colon cancer in the same location and I thought it was IBS or something like that at first because I had experienced IBS for a while years ago. I was busy and felt I couldn’t take a day off to get things checked out until I woke up in the night with huge anxiety. It was like my body was sounding the alarm, because I had no other reason to feel this crazy anxiety. I listened to that “alarm” and was diagnosed with colon cancer quite quickly. Mine was a late stage 2 with no lymph node involvement, so I was lucky there. Surgery was all I needed. I am wishing you the very best outcome in your fight against this sneaky foe.

@@TakeTheRide You are right. And I believe I received a healing during my surgery. The CT scan showed that my lymph nodes were very enlarged and my surgeon said I likely had stage 3 colon cancer, but after they wheeled me out of the recovery room, I felt I had received a healing that went beyond the surgery itself. My friend who was there with me before the surgery and was still there after my surgery said I looked so much better after the operation, that I looked “full of light”. My surgeon removed many lymph nodes along with the tumour, but not one lymph node showed a sign of cancer. So yes, I was blessed.

Prayers for You my friend. Thank you for having the courage to share your story. I had a colonoscopy way back in 1974.. it was so painful, I didn’t have another for almost 50 years. Then last year, a plethora of health issues… abdominal infection put me in the hospital for a week, during which time I developed afib and they found a kidney lesion. 3 months later, surgery for hernia. Then finally got talked into a colonoscopy because of strange symptoms… pencil thin stools… random abdominal pain… etc. I chalked it up to other causes. Got the colonoscopy. Tumor. Surgery. Stage 1B. No spread to other organs… lymph nodes clear. Then had the kidney lesion frozen. I believe the healing hand of The Lord is evident.

Folks get that Colonoscopy done! Even if you are still under 50 . More young people are getting colon cancer these days because of toxic eating habits, smoking, alcohol. Don’t put it off. I did that cologuard test two months ago and it came back positive. I had no symptoms. I did the colonoscopy this week. I had two small polyps that were removed and the doctor said the rest of my colon looked good. So grateful to God. Please do not put off health screenings even if you are healthy with no symptoms. And strive for a mostly plant based diet with juicing. And please keep Nick and others in prayer. No one should have to go through this, especially young people❤

Thank you for sharing your experience with cancer. I'm going in for a sigmoidoscopy in a little less than a month per doc orders. Symptoms you shared prior to your diagnosis are similar to what I've experienced. I hold a sort of "hope stone" in my head. But knowing that I must work with my doctors and advocate for myself, is excellent preparation to learn what-in-the-heck is going on in my intestines and digestion in general. I hope and trust that you and your doctors and family and friends will create quality and quantity of life for a good long time for yourself. Thank you, again for putting yourself out there and helping others.

I, too, lost my mom, dad, and sister (as well as many other relatives and friends) to Cancer. I am in Minnesota. My doctors do absolutely NOTHING except say they will “keep an eye on it”without doing any tests. Make sure you come back if it lasts more than two weeks, see someone else. Even though my sister was just 11 months older than me, and died within 63 days of colon cancer diagnosis, spread to liver, the doctors don’t feel like I am “high risk”. Even though I have so many symptoms- and my sister had NO SYMPTOMS! I have had to fire 3 doctors for their incompetence. I got a new primary doctor/ but any time I try to see MY PRIMARY doctor, it is a 6-8 month wait! I am definitely scared because everyone in my family gets Cancer. We are like time bombs, and the “doctors” don’t care. Just keep you coming back at $400 per visit, which I cannot afford.

When Chadwick Boseman passed from cancer, my friend immediately went to see a doctor for symptoms he had concerns about but didn't feel the need to go to the doctor until then. Not long after he was diagnosed with stage 1 colon cancer. Even the doctors were shocked he caught it so early because usually especially in younger patients they get diagnosed at stage 3 or 4 since they just put it off to IBS or other gut issues. Please don't wait, see a doctor as soon as you can. It's better that you worried for nothing rather then you put it off and something is actually wrong.

Wow, it’s crazy how similar our stories are at first. I was 48 also when diagnosed with stage 3b sigmoid colon cancer. It was 2010 and I too was awake for the last part of my colonoscopy. I watched the MD tattoo the tumor! Had colon resection and did 6mo of FOLFOX2 chemo. The oxalaplatin was the worst! The numbness in my fingers subsided but not my feet. I wish you all the best and wishes for a long life! You can make it!! 😊

It’s ok. Anxiety is real and comes with part of the process. Both my mom at 75 and myself at 50 had divertulitis which led to colon perforations. She with uterine cancer and me with colostomy for a year and then a resection. No chemo for either of us thankfully but the road isn’t any easier. It’s tough. You need therapy! That’s what helped me get through it. Mom is trying the “tougher” course by keeping busy but these “gut” diseases are tough. It both took us a while to figure out something wasn’t right but we finally got our answers and fighting through the disease. You look great and are strong and will make it through! ❤

@@Midwest..I wouldn’t say diet necessarily prevents colorectal cancer. I’ve seen plenty of vegans and vegetarians who have been diagnosed with cancer. It’s interesting how treatments differ. I was diagnosed with stage 3c rectal sigmoid cancer 4 years ago. Before surgery I did 4 months of chemo with FOLFOX and Xeloda. Filled by 6 weeks of chemo radiation. Then one surgery to remove my he tumor and 30 lymph nodes and had a temporary ileostomy for 9 months until it was reversed. I have permanent neuropathy in my feet and fingers. And since part of my rectum was removed I have bowel function issues on a daily basis. So there’s been a quality of life impact. But I’ve been disease free since my treatments ended, for which I’m grateful and blessed. I wish you well with the rest of your journey. You certainly have the right attitude. you will be fine! my father was Diagnosed as stage 3B or early stages of 4 lung cancer ( small carcinoma ). His prognosis was without treatment his life expectancy was 6months to 2 years at most, and with treatment they will be able to determine his chances, but as of now if you go with the treatment it will probably be to extending his life. well after his second treatment and CT scan the tumor that was inoperable in his left lung had shrunk by 30%, and he told my father that his treatment plan will either destroy the cancer completely, or keep it under control and that my father would live to old age. also he did say to my father that this cancer wouldn't be the cause for him passing, it will be due to natural old age or anything else but the cancer. My father only had two side affects from the chemo/rad therapy which was hair loss and very thin skin, but everyone at the clinic was amazed at how powerful his immune system was, because he would get cuts from work by just bumping the wall, or rubbing his arm on one of the trucks. However instead of the cuts not healing for months because of the chemo/radiation, it took his body 3 days to fully scab his cuts and on the 5th day the scab would fall off and had light scar. Long story short the Oncologist was the best person to see for lung cancers in our area, hes treated people who were told it's best that they activate hospice if they have it included with their medical plans, and spend the remaining time with their family, etc. he treated people that really had a 3% chance from an Objective perceptive, and never turned away any patient even though two different oncologists hadn't even tried to treat the people, because they didn't want to risk making the patients very sick and weak, when they are still in good health but got only a couple of months at most to live. Well 5 months into his treatment and hes out working construction installing guardrails, street signs, etc. We own a construction business, he started to get his smokers cough comeback, but it was during the peak of covid, and there was a small virus going around a week prior to thanksgiving. So I thought it might have been our split system A/C systems, because we didn't have the maintenance guy come in to clean the system and get all of the mold out of the system. Then just before Christmas the Second temporary Oncologist asked my father when was the last time he had a CT scan or MRI, and he said not since he got diagnosed and on his second chemo/radiation treatment to see if the treatment is working. So she ordered a CT scan and then told him that shes going to put him back on the Original chemo/rad treatment but at 25% potency, and the new oncologist will follow up with him from there. When my father told me that, I asked him "when did they change your treatment and why did she say shes putting you back on what you were supposed to be already on, based on the two year treatment plan that the Original Oncologist had laid out for you, and if there needed to be changes, it would be based on what is left of the tumor, etc" Then he replied to me with " the first Temporary oncologist had switched him to immunotherapy, but the nurse did the change, and he never saw the Dr, nor did the staff". Well Janurary 1st, 2021 at 1am our house burns down due to an electrical fire and we lose everything. Then my fathers CT results come back and the cancer tumor is now 2x the size from when he was diagnosed, and it had spread to his right lung as a tumor, and the tests showed that it's not detecting/showing that it's starting to spread throughout his system, but the New oncologist had told my father that " He couldn't understand how did he go from having many treatment options to only two, and they have a 5% chance of actually working, because the cancer has learned how to camouflage its cells from the only treatment that he was originally on, and he will try it for two weeks and follow up with scans to see if it's doing anything, if not hes got one last option or he can try and sign up for trials. " My father passed away on March 2nd at 1:32am and I was unable to get justice for the negligence by the temporary oncologist who was the only Dr to not set foot in the cancer center, see any patients or even meet the staff. Due to us being homeless from the fire and my 100% permanent and total Disability rating from the VA due to physical and mental injuries sustained from combat, and being the trustee of the estate trying to find a home for my family, run the construction company, and do lots of things that were overwhelming for me, I missed being able to file a claim by 4mins because the court house closed and that day was the final day before the two year statue of limitations ended. The number 1 lawfirm in hawaii told me that I had to find an attorney who could take on my case based on Discovery, because if my father had a 100% survivability rating, but the temp oncologist changed his treatment without any logically medical reasoning, then I see it as murder and not negligent manslaughter. What caught me off guard was my father didn't show any signs of passing, just two days before he passed away, he was hyperventilating, and the hospice nurse wanted to give him morphine to relax his lungs. So for the first time ever in his entire life he took the 20mg pill and 10mg liquid morphine, and finally got a good rest that day. however later that afternoon when I was going to wake him up to give him this mucus medication, I heard and felt his lungs feel very wet, and I new right there that it wasn't a good sign, but I couldn't confirm it until the hospice nurse came to check his vitals. Thats why she told me the same thing, but my father never lost weight, had a good appetite and was working up until he took the morphine just so the nurse would leave him alone. We tried to wake him and he wouldn't respond and thats when we took him to the ER, and the ER dr said that he doesn't see my father walking out of the ER, and his body is starting to shutdown, etc. I've been around friends, family, and people I didn't even know who all showed signs of the body shutting down weeks before, but in his case its like when he took the high dose of morphine, his mind was keeping his body from shutting down. So that really shocked me and when he woke up later that night, He was upset that the nurses at the hospice facility wouldn't let him go to use the bathroom and he asked me why was he not at the hotel. That's when I told him everything that I never said to him, and told him to not worry about us, and I will make sure everything is taken cared of to the best of my abilities, but it's time that he just rests. Sorry I typed out something I wanted to keep short, but this is the first time I actually got to get this off of my chest, and still to this day were displaced because of the fire. Plus living on maui and the fires from last year made finding a home impossible, plus greedy people are getting paid $12,000 per month to rent their 3/4bedroom homes to families who were renting homes in Lahaina and never owned a place. That's caused rent to rise up to 400% and the money that supposedly was given to help the families are being used poorly. $8,000-$12,000 Fema is paying anyone that will rent their home to the families affected by the fire, and that is why nobody can afford to rent any homes, because of those who are taking advantage of getting paid lots of money, and a decent 3 to 5 bedroom home used to be at the highest $2,700 a month, now its around $4500+ without utilities and those homes are paying a $900-1200 land tax per month. Anyway, sorry my Fragmented thoughts are getting outta hand due to the TBI damage from getting blown up and being close to air strikes, etc. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you got this, and Don't be afraid to ask any questions or get a second opinion if the results aren't what you are looking for. I've noticed many of those who have been working for a longtime in the medical field become desensitize, and after a while they lose sight of why they went into the medical field. My family have died from negligent health care workers. So I report and film all nurses and Dr's when I speak to them and ask questions, because of my training I can't help but read their body language, and there are some cruel people that treat patients poorly. There are a handful who still care and haven't turned off their humanity switch, and genuinely care for those that they come across. Stay positive, watch comedies, and try your best to stay positive. Also those who are around you ask them to talk about funny memories, I've read a study that laughter and people around you who think positive thoughts help with healing and recovery. there is a correlation due to the frequency that our brains sync and it shows that we activate a part of our brains that possibly can heal when everyone concentrates on positive thoughts and they all sync up on the same frequency. Take care and if there is anything that I can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask. I used to keep people company when my dad would be getting treated, that were alone and played checkers/chess or just listened to facinating stories. I'm a good listener and love to hear stories from people, because I can learn some old tricks that were forgotten, or I can imagine how things were much better than now, etc.
