I am a start up small business. We took 2 years to develop our business model. Branding, website, all the back end stuff we would need. 2023 we went live but we only had friends and family purchasing. I would get like one order a month. 2024 I spent at my local farmers market and we did 5x the business and other people that are strangers are ordering!! My best advice is get out into your community! I still have some indoor markets for the year but I am so excited to see what next year brings! Stick with it because it's a slow game.

@@hollycrowe6826 thank you so much for the insight!!!. I am studying textile management and sustainability so I am familiar with the process of developing a brand (have had to develop many for various classes each semester) but sometimes I forget who tf I am 😭 💅 Good news is that with trying to get the Etsy store running, I realized I know what I am suppose to do! Lol Thankfully it came with so much inspiration to do more than just scrunchies but maybe dive into slow fashion and slowly develop a line (as you mentioned friends and family have been asking since I started sewing and going to school)! Rn I am working on creating digital mother patterns sizes 6-18 and thinking of just making clothes for myself and posting it for custom orders. Oh I yapped sorry 😭 also share your socials! I would love to follow and support

I recently started a small business!! It was really difficult to start off, but watching your videos really inspired me to keep going. I finally did my first pop up shop 2 months ago and it went really well! Thank you so so much for helping and motivating people like me.

Love the transparency about burnout. That’s part of what made me quit the first time around. It wasn’t fun for me anymore. Next time around I plan to make a schedule and stick to it and set aside time for me to do something I like and it doesn’t always have to be for sale, it can be just for me ❤

17:00 - 21:40 was such great advice I wish I had 4 years ago when I was pretty unsuccessful at pop up markets. Because my confidence was pretty destroyed from not getting sales and I became very burnt out and I haven't done any markets or anything since . But your videos are very encouraging and inspiring. So I may use all of this to get back out there ❤

When I watch your videos, I feel like I’m not alone. (Also doing a small business thing for 4 years and every month I experience 3-4 days burnout)

Your voice is so soothing! Love your vlogs I started my skincare brand last month and you inspired me to do pop ups. I just wanted to know how many products should I bring to a pop up market, I don’t want to bring too much or too little.

Hi Monica! New subscriber here, just discovered your channel this week. I also recently put in my 2 weeks notice (at my non profit job) and am venturing into working for myself ✨full time✨. Your videos have been so informative and inspiring, thank you! P.s PLEASE consider doing a video on using & optimizing Notion, particularly for creatives/sbo. I’ve watched a load of tutorials and tried to navigate it myself but I just get overwhelmed. I feel like I’m missing out on a great resource. You have a very clear and direct way of communicating your process and I think it would finally help my neurospicy brain understand 😭💚

I love learning new hobbies!! I have been trying punch needle too. I started a couple of designs on Sunday and then Monday morning I had about 10 minutes of punching left and it was a perfect start to my day to get me going 😅 but also, how do the punch needle girlies make it look so easy?! My snowman looks like he had a stroke.
