Hi Guys, I’ve been to that same chowder place but now I want to try Ivar’s. I looked it up on Yelp and well there’s so many. Help? Are they all the same? Any specific one?

Next time you’re in Seattle, you should go over to Ballard. You can watch the boats coming and going from Lake Union and out to the Puget Sound via the Hiram Chitteden Locks. There are several great restaurants over there. Some of my favorites are Rays Boathouse (Great Seafood), Un Bien (Caribbean), Cafe Besalu ( Good coffee and pastries) and Red Mill Totem House (Good burgers).

Seattle Chinatown is called the International District, so it’s more than just Chinese. There is one big Asian grocery store that has several little food stands it’s called Uwajimaya.

Tai Tung is Seattle's oldest Chinese restaurant. Founded in 1935, it was Bruce Lee's favorite restaurant when he lived in Seattle in 1959. You can reserve the Bruce Lee corner table that he and his friends used. He liked their oyster beef.

Yes, Tai Tung is good I sat at the Bruce Lee table and ate there twice. Ask for Julie she's a great waitress and funny too. If you're there go to the Wing Luke museum and take their museum tour, which is about a five minute walk from the restaurant. Being Asian I was emotional moved by the tour and exhibits. On that same street (King) is the Fuji bakery which is Japanese inspired it has an Asian twist on things.

I doing some binge watching. Dale Chihuly lost his eye in bad car accident that almost killed him. He's the artist who designed the Bellagio lobby? If you go to Tacoma, go to see the Bridge of Glass. The Wing Like Museum was very interesting because it has history about Japanese interment to and how their Filipino employees kept their farms going during the war. I think they gave them part of their land when they returned from the camps. There is also Japan Town where the Panama Hotel is. You can lunch there and go on the tour. I hope the hotel is still working on the restoration. We got to see the bathhouse and stores in Japan Town. My Aunt took us a hole in the wall restaurant called Jade Palace. They had good shrimp puffs. That a while ago, so I don't know if it is still there.

Just an FYI, i noticed that Vancouver was on your list of places to visit..... Vancouver's Chinatown is also underwhelming. It no longer has the ambiance of what it once was, San Fran's is the one that i believe still has a lot of character.

Lol, it's called Iver's! Thanks for the views of Seattle. I used to live there. I ate at the pie place. The Chihul glass display is so beautiful. In 1976, while Chihuly was in England, he was involved in a head-on car accident during which he was propelled through the windshield. Hisface was severely cut by glass and he was blinded in his left eye. After recovering, he continued to blow glass until he dislocated his right shoulder in 1979 while bodysurfing.

Thinking of going back to Seattle soon! Great city! Thanks for the Chihuly info!
