hmm im not great at getting these out at a specific time like everyone else seems to manage to do but a video is a video!
I have wanted to do a video involving carrot stretches and the proper way to do them for a very long time, so here it is. I hope you like it. I'm going to share a short video of just the carrot stretch part as I think that will be helpful and easy to refer back to if your on the yard, just ridden and want to run through the stretches minus me talking about my entire day for 30 minutes,
as always please leave me a comment and I screenshot and share if you think this video is interesting,
thanks again for being here and watching my video offerings, it means a lot.

You are a very kind boss.... "Emily can't do 8 stables on her own" who else used to do 15 + on their own? 😂 Most of us have been exploited by our bosses so well done Miri for not being that person

Perfect as usual, Thank you AWARD WINNING Miri . Obi is so lovely what a gentle boy he is till he hears music and freestyles!!! he knows the word carrot i love him so much. The people that hate on any Equestrian Vloggers need to get a life, The physio bit was great. Your vlogs have given me the desire to ride again after ohhh a long time lets just say i doubt you where born the last time i trotted on, but its going well according to my instructor. So thank you for getting me back in the saddle, now I've just got to master getting off again, not pretty!!!!!. You know Christmas ? do we get an hour long episode? just putting that out there x

Lovely to see this way of training youngsters! So much better than strapping their heads in and creating tension. This is the perfect way to train relaxed, supple young horses and to help avoid any complications through their bodies. Also love Vicki she reminds me of my horse's physio hehe Obi also really reminds me of my girl! Keep the vlogs coming! Love watching them :D

Obi is SUCH a gentleman. What a sweet boy. It was funny when you started clipping him, he looked at you like: "Miri! I worked long & hard to grow my glossy coat & it's freezing outdoors. What are you doing to me?" 😁🐴❤ Very important that you brought up - don't do 🥕 stretches on a COLD horse, they need to be warmed up! Makes so much sense. Miri: I have a ? for you: what do you think of the newer bridles that have the padded V shape notch at pole area? It supposedly takes a LOT of pressure off their pole area. That makes sense to me as well but would like your opinion. Thx

As someone who is a beginner in the 'horse world' and a family who isn't involved in horses at all, these videos make learning very accessible to me, and I can't thank you enough for that! love your vlogs, and the information you give in them. It makes for better learning, and a more entertaining video in general, when its all integrated in a vlog!

I loved learning a couple of new stretches that I can do with my guys that I have in. So thank you so much for sharing the carrot stretching part of this video. I really learned a lot. Especially the poll stretch and crossing the hind leg stretch. That one helps so many muscle groups not only the hamstring. Best Regards from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.

Really enjoying this, especially as someone with a two and a half year old that will be backed next year. Your hints, tips and wisdom are great as all of my other horses have been established (and usually at least ten) when I’ve bought/ridden them and my filly is the first I’m starting myself.

Thanks for another great vlog, and loved the info on the carrot stretches, I never know which ones to do or how long to do them for so that was super helpful! Will give them a try tomorrow, hopefully my horse will be as patient as Obie when it comes to getting the carrots, he has very strong lips so I may lose a finger or two ;) My previous horse would just give up and sulk if he found the stretch too hard ... geldings, honestly. Cheers from New Zealand :)

Super interesting vlog as always. I didn’t quite understand all of it, since English isn’t my first language (plus I learned it with the Canadian accent first!!!!!). But my mare’s chiro told me to never let her cross her back legs (cause she used to do it all the time) because her back muscles were weak and her hips were uneven, it was easier for her to cross over on the other side 🤔🤔🤔

That was brilliantly informative! I do have a question which someone might be able to answer, I do all of these stretches with my older horse, but she goes absolutely nuts for the carrots and I do not think she is really stretching. Is there any way I can make sure she is really doing the stretches?

one thing i dont understand is people saying bits are cruel. my horse HATES anything on his nose, especially if its heavy/puts pressure on his nose. most bitless bridles are extremely uncomfortable for him. am i cruel riding him with a bit or am i cruel for putting him through the discomfort of a bitless/hackamore? its so ironic like

It annoys me when hippie people moan to people like you about what you do. I am a hippie person - all my horses are barefoor, bitless and treeless...but i watch your videos because you are so kind and good to the horses at all times - the way that you dont just conform to everything thats traditionally done - you think about everything you do and make sure its kind to the horse and done in the correct way. Like the side rein thing today and there has been many other things in the past. The way you use bits and side reins etc is probably kinder than the way some people use bitless bridles! Plus you have to be realistic...you wouldnt be allowed to compete like you do if you were bitless - in dressage at least. But anyway, im going to paste this comment onto yout insta as well as i want my fellow hippies to see it so hopefully they will realise there is more to it than just omitting the bit from the horses life. Keep being you Miri and dont feel you have to explain yourself. Any horse who gets you teaching it is incredibly lucky ❤ xxx
