Watching those baby horses is shaming, like meeting a 4-year-old dutch kid fluent in 5 languages. It was super interesting though and something i don't know much about. I hope you do get your youngsters in and take your camera along. I'm now going to read up on carrot stretches and walking poles.

@@hackettequine2059 That's my job. I rehab horses from injury. People bring me their injured horses who have had surgery or just an injury, an i rehabilitate them. I also start young stock. Being only 42 kgs, I'm light enough for a three year old without worrying about damaging growing bones. And if they go into a growth spurt while with me, they get turned out until it is over. But I do a lot of ground work with them in their growth spurts when I refuse to ride and damage growth plates. Fortunately, I have an amazing vet team, massage therapist and chiropractor that makes up the whole team with me to get them back into riding shape or started. Have a great week!! Best Regards from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.

Interesting vlog thanks :) I can't help feeling a bit sad about stallions because as the lady said they rarely get any turn out and never get to be in contact with other horses. Solitary confinement makes them so stressed :( I've read a lot about stallions from Lucy Rees who is a top equine ethologist and she's found that a stallions main job is herd protector. So sad that they get denied that. I hope attitudes change..most people think its unkind to keep a chicken in solitary confinement these days and I can remember when no one cared about that. So things do change :)

I am not familiar with futurity programs and am a bit confused. Is my understanding correct? (See next bit). So the horses is “graded” yearly in disciplines. During the grading process they are given advice on multiple aspects of health, exercise, and horsemanship.
