It's refreshing to hear of the abundance of bugs & butterflies there. You can't help but notice the lack of same here in the UK. One of the solutions would be more wildflower meadows but of course it's more wide-ranging than that with farming practices etc. I'm glad the lesson learned with the awning was a lot less painful than it could have been.

Aife is certainly developing skills as a hiker, backpacker, and camper. Also she's learning that when things occur, like when the awning blew off the van in a wind gust, that one must be flexible and adapt to unexpected changes, with the reward of a hot chocolate and gnosh. It was cute how Aife enjoyed the sweets as well as playing with the sugar cart!

Hi Ramble family, lovely video of the ups and downs of van life. I'd love a video on your thoughts of the pro and cons of your van for a family. We are looking to buy a van and have two small children (who don't settle sleeping in a bed with us and like their own space!) so would love your thoughts on how you'd tackle that and whether you'd ever go for a pop top kind of camper where you can have another bed, but then have the downside of not being able to stand in the van for cooking etc. So much to factor into a van buying decision, especially when you have kids! Hope everything is going well with the house reno! X
