Great video, nice to see one from someone who knows what it’s really like to live in a van and not some unrealistic instagram version. We built or own van to go skiing in (and other stuff) and are totally with you on the importance of hours spent researching every little detail… And, strangely our van layout is very similar, inc shower tray, toilet etc! Nice to have a proper seating area, we’re always having other ski van folk round and they love the space and can’t understand why the layout isn’t more common. Best thing was leaving the bulkhead in place and insulating everything to the max, the van is so warm and comfortable, makes a big difference in the summer too. Safe travels, J❤

Love what you've done in this build..the attention to details , to the little often forgotten necessities.. I want to install CCTV in mine, I'm just starting my build, well %40 in to it. For added security & peace of mind, get a pedal lock & a Garrison OBD port lock. 👌

Heya thank you so much! I recommend getting the cctv cables in early, so you can run them inside the walls, especially the ones at the back and sides. From what I've heard of pedal locks they can either be sawn off, or someone saws off the actual pedal end and then repairs it later. I've heard some craaaazy theft stories. OBD port lock is a great shout, and I believe my system has a measure that covers that too 👍

Try hanging the projector screen on the next pair of hangers (so away from your coats), and projector on pull out table. If the 2 narrow pieces of bed foam were one piece it would run up your rear van doors higher for you to lounge against. When pulling out wooden bed extension, drag main foam with it, then let rear extra foam at van doors, just drop down.. Use a canvas bag for laundry. Great shower ideas, velcro closers, hanger brackets, bottom rail, shower head bracket.

Thank you so much, my parents who helped me with the build were convinced it would be too dark and make it feel small, so I made sure to keep all the dark colours low and keep the top half light and I think it turned out perfectly 😊. And the gold accents brighten it up too 😄

I love this layout! Looks comfortable, has everything you may ever need just in case. I love a van with a shower and toilet because you never know! I would just have a passthrough to the cab and drivers seat as security. In case something spooks me in the night or anytime really, at least I can leave without having to go outside if I feel it unsafe. I didn't notice that you had that.
