The USFL was the United States Football League. It was an American football league that had hoped to compete with the NFL. However, it only lasted from 1983 through 1985...a total of three seasons. The USFL was restarted in 2022. The hats I sent are actually new old stock. The original price tags are still on some of them. The foam is eroding away. Still very cool and probably reasonably rare in AUS. My vote is to sell them and see if they are worth anything down under. 🙂 You were one of the people I was most excited to meet at FlipCon. One of the highlights of the event for me. I genuinely appreciate the kind words. I really do.

Really enjoyed this video. Felt more real, authentic rather then “enthusiastic salesman showey” type talking to the camera. Nothing wrong with that either just like seeing your thought processes and also the real side of reality of thrifting not always winning. Rather then showing the “wins” it’s good to see the losses too. But also see more of a different side to you.

There's only one Op shop in my buying radius of 150km, a Uniting Church run one that sells DVD's at $2 each or 10 for $10 when they have a lot on the shelves. Vinnies are all $2 for singles and $4 for a seasons, worth. They were pricing them at $1 per disc! Consequently they hardly ever seem to move. The Salvos are $2 and $5 for a season. So not a lot of luck with those recently. I NEVER see games, I think they either keep them out the back for themselves or 'special' customers (which is VERY unfair) or send them to the Adelaide HQ's. Who knows. And I have asked. It's been quite hard to find good listing of anything for a while.

Cha-Ching King ❤. What a fantastic video Matt! I’m glad your last stop was a winner! Just love Courtney working along side of you! She seems so genuine! Between cream and low-fat ? Lol I use half n half! To me not about the milk it’s about “organic” milk. Because your milk isn’t genetically modified from cows given chemicals to produce more milk or have eaten pesticides in their food….. that’s better. 😊… well have a great profitable week! Take care !

On milk, what you want to achieve? high fat: build/gain muscle/mass/weight, tastes better with coffee low fat: reduce weight, probably more healthy because of less "bad" fat I personally drink high fat milk because I like it in coffee and because I do a lot of sports and dont have the problem of getting blown up when eating alot. (its the perspective from the german market, not sure how the aussie market is different exactly)

You will definitely know how many people watched the whole thing from the Cha Ching King comments 😅 . I used to drink skim milk but after many years realised it doesn't make any difference at all and now I'm full cream all the way. Your taste does adapt though. If you are used to skim then stick with it for the taste. Good to see you keep some crappy store sourcing in there. That seems to match a bulk of my day and is the reality for those of us who source from thrifts. Yesterday I did 4 stores and only got two items. One thing from yesterday that I wanted to mention is how annoying some stores are for consistent pricing. I hate it when your price changes depending on what check out person is working. One day I am being charged $4 a disc and the next day $1. So frustrating. I don't mind the longer format as I just sit and pack my postage while I'm watching in the background

Some feedback/thoughts (apologies for the lengthy response)... First, and foremost, I 💯% agree with Courtney (full-cream milk is the way)! Skimmed milk, I've always heard, is better for you... but if I wanted to drink water, I'd run the tap. 'Udder' madness! 😉 As Courtney says, 'in moderation' is the key. To each their own though... if you prefer skimmed milk, you do you. - Don't you just LOVE it when there's a box that fits PERFECTLY for an item/s!? Like a glove!👍 - GREAT sale on that DVD ($1>>>$70). Those are the sales that I'd break my 'no DVDs, CDs, video games' rule for. Great margins, minimum efford, and off she goes to a happy home! - I'd have done the same as you on the silk shirt. As long as it's clearly sign-posted the stain in your listing (as you did), I'd weigh up the effort in removing the stain v not removing it, and factor in your time. You clearly assessed that, and deemed it not worth your effort or your time (as would I). - 💯% agree with you on passing on the pirate ship... too much p*ssing about shipping that off. Your time is worth more. - I appreciate you showing both the highs and lows of selling, and keeping it real. Not every charity shop is a gold-mine, and it can be hard graft. You make your own luck, and the harder you work, and the more tenacious and smarter you become, the 'luckier' you get. - Great gift from Scott! For a moment there, I thought it was your PSA submission back for those Pokemon cards! And lastly... really prefer these longer-format videos, Matt! I think I made a comment a few months ago urging you to edit less (to save you time). I think you've got the winning formulae. As always, thanks to you and Courtney for this. Keep up the great work, and SMASH IT in Q4! 👍

My opinion on the milk issue is that it doesn’t matter nutrition wise which one you drink. Lower fat milk only has less fat content. There is not added sugar like in other low fat products such as baked goods. It comes down to personal preference. I drink low fat milk because I need to decrease the amount of fat in my diet for medical reasons. I find it tastes the same to me regardless of the fat content. 🤷♀️

I had something listed on ebay for $20 ,but ebay took nearly $9 in fees ( % of sale and ad fee) so i was left with $11!! Plus they add what the buyer paid for shipping to the sale total, which meant they took their % of $30.60 instead of $20, and they held my funds for two weeks because they said i dont sell enough. Its not worth it now.
@ResellingQueen Жыл бұрын
That's how eBay works, t's not a free service, they are a business who does thousands of $$ worth of advertising for you. If you also chose to promote your listing you've agreed to the higher ad fees. Every new seller has a waiting period for funds to be released, it's a security feature to make sure you are a legitimate seller and your first few buyers actually receive their purchase. Then once you've proved yourself, funds are paid out within 24 hours. Failing to properly research the platform you wish to sell on, is a sure fire way to disappointment.

So you feel listing 3 items a day for 7 days is better then listing 21 items in one sitting. Or 10 a day over the weekend, if you work full time?
@TheAussieFlipper Жыл бұрын
Personally I have items go live every single day and I think it would be important to experiment with as a part timer rather than doing 21 in one sitting and then not listing again for a week. I've learnt the more consistent you can be on the platform the more consistent your sales numbers will be. It's not just in terms of listing (shipping on time, listing quality stock etc) all play a factor too but fundamentally speaking if you listing 3 scheduled listing live each day I believe you would see better sales results as a part timer
