It’s so good to see you back in yt!! Your yt presence is such a positive addition to my day. I’ve been playing the violin since I was in 2nd grade but fortunately stopped during my senior year since orchestra duties were getting conflicting with my studies. Watching your vids gives me nostalgia to my past full-on musician life. Your vids make me want to open my violin case and start playing again😭✨ AND UR PAGANINI PERFORMANCE WAS JUST JAW DROPPING BTW!!!!

I am teaching all my students online since march. I have to say even with the younger ones it works better than expected. I won't say that there are no issues, especially when students have their special needs, but if you work together with the parents a bit, it can be a very good diversion to the usual lessons in person... but why does switzerland always look soo chill! :)

Nice video. Not sure how formal you mean.:) Most textboooks teach the =masu forms first but it actually easier to hang those structures on the more common speaking style. Tae Kim’s grammar makes this point and is very helpful in general. One of the best application courses I have looked at is ‘Human Japanese’ which deconstructs the language in the most enjoyable style one could wish for. Learning the Kanji is not a problem using James Heisig’s books ‘Remembering the Kanji’ which is still the go to method for not only using imaginative memory to solidly embed 5000 kanji in your head ,but also for reducing learning time by about half. Best of luck with your endeavors.

How do you find you learn/practice Japanese best? I've forgotten so much of mine and kind of lost how to get back on it =/
@cameronburnett96794 жыл бұрын
I spend 3 months just learning kanji which was probably the most painful thing I could have done. Probably the only way to not quit is to find something you enjoy and immerse yourself in it. I've had a break for a few months after trying to cram boring stuff in Anki and now I think I'm just going to watch something easy-ish on Netflix with the LLN addon for Google Chrome which you should definitely check out if you haven't. Maybe I'll spend a month on one episode of a series and it'll gradually take less effort. Or maybe in 6 months I'll change my mind again. In any case, anyone who has become really good recommends immersion in real japanese content.
