Hi everyone! So, I thought, instead of my usual content, I would try and do videos that might make us all feel a little less isolated. Whatever our circumstances, we really are all going through this together, and I hope that makes this world feel a little less big and will bring us all closer. This is just our life at the moment - most days feel like Groundhog Day, but I am doing my best to stay positive for my kids. I hope these videos might bring you a bit of joy in a tough time. I'm a 31 year-old mum of three, who lives in Cheshire, in the UK. I have a son called, Bill, and I am no longer with his dad, as we split mutually when he was a baby. I never imagined my life as it is now, with children to different partners, but I am so happy that it is my life. I met Mark in the summer of 2013, and we became firm friends. We fell in love when I became single and we’ve never looked back. We have a daughter, called Daisy, born April 2016, and a son, called Stanley, born March 2018. This is us now. I'm done having babies and just excited to watch them grow, as a family of five. I don't consider myself to be anything other than a mostly-happy, mostly-tired, average mum. But I hope you enjoy following my story anyway. x

Such a lovely vlog Charlotte after what has been a very emotional and unsettling week. I will have my 2 girls home from school and will try to do a bit of working from home and also going into the office once my husband comes home from work. It’s going to tough but it needs to be done. I’m honestly just as worried! I don’t know if I’ve got it in me to be ‘enough’ for my kids. That’s what concerns me the most. It’s been really hard getting my head around it! We can do this though. We’ll do it together. For our kids and for a positive future for everyone. xx

Thank you for saying “we’ll get through this”. Very much appreciated xxx I’m a primary school teacher and have been off since Tuesday as my little boy is getting over a cold and had a cough. Now I’m not sure when I’ll see my class and colleagues again. They become like your family. I know things will become clearer soon and we will find a new normal but not knowing is hard. But yeah. We’ll get through this. Gave up chocolate for Lent. Fool.

It is hard! Specially as I’m a cleaner in a school so atm we don’t know where we stand and it’s a bit all over the place but we are continuing to work. So very stressful in that sense. My weekly food shops is giving me anxiety thinking about it, I did it yesterday it wasn’t too bad but everywhere was diminished! It’s Ridiculous. I am a little worried but not too much tbh. I’m still trying to keep it “normal” and continue doing what I normally do because mentally I can’t stay in the house all day I mean I can’t anyways due to work but you know what I mean. Still hoping to pop to my local town today because we’ll I need things so fingers crossed in that sense nothing majorly happens while we’re up there, so wish me luck. Struggle at the best of times with my 3 kids and 2 are at school and one part time at nursery ,this is really challenging me am up and down in mood having to really work at it normally going out for a coffee not cant do just glad when I get through another day will appreciate more in future x

Hi Charlotte. I was homeschooled in the UK by my Mum and I think that it’s important not to fall into the trap of thinking that school=hard and home=fun! You can teach your children things without being boring or stressing them out. Why don’t you try baking using fractions, or do a study on dinosaurs (read books together, do dinosaur maths, look at the science of dinosaurs etc)? Being at home, you can totally make education fun for your kids🙂

Thankyou Charlotte, these are scary times for us all but our ''behaviour'' is mirrored in our children so keeping everything as normal as possible is important to not scare the living hell out of babies. Every my autistic teen can see something is wrong with our social movements cut to nothing. Just be visiting the park, and walking for some exercise while practising social distancing (I had no idea that was even a word!) . Going to kick back with a ''cuppa'' and watch a NORMAL day from the UK. side note: If OUR Queen has been placed in Quarantine I wish Australia would lockdown all the nursing home immediately. I also wish I could lockdown my dad as well, but he comes from a generation of Australians with the ''She be right mate"". Anyway back to vlog. Works being amazing considering, my manager and the rest of the team are doing everything we can to support each other but I don’t think anyone really knows what’s going on at the moment. My son came down with scarlet fever so my isolation basically started last week he hasn’t had a fever and no cough so he will be going in for his last day tomorrow sad really it could be the last time he steps foot in that school he hasn’t got a place there yet as he’s in the school nursery☹️ x

When the rules changed this week he no longer had a temp. So we just kept to the one week off school (and beyond now). That and we know it was slapped cheek as it’s obvious (he’s had it before). If any of us were to develop symptoms we’d follow the guidance, whatever is updated at the time. xx
