Guys Tell me I cant decide the 20v Variant or 12v. I have 12v batterys but only 2ah so I have to buy minimum 4ah. I dont mind buying New battery so 20v would be Fine. But I cant decide.... I only work on Cars
@BrokeLifeEU11 ай бұрын
12V and 5Ah is a good option. With the 20V in order to make it work properly in the automotive filed you would need to convert it to 1/2 otherwise you need to carry around loads of 1/4 to 1/2 adaptors as they break very easily. I say the 12V because it comes as a 1/2 directly from Lidl so no matter what happens you don't have to worry about warranty. Whereas if you convert the 20V in to 1/2 depending on your local Lidl there might be warranty issues. However if warranty is not an issue for you 20V all day!

I know it's hard (expensive) to get large torque wrench just for the test video but it would be really useful to see real maximum unscrewing torque of both of these tools. I think this is the main deciding point for most of people. But apart from this great video 👍.

i think on max torque 4ah battery lack power -- 38-40A from what i tested for 4ah one and only when warm (20*C) for short time maybe thats why people opinion isnt so great about it when they use old 4ah and it lack power ---- for me its super strong for its size , and even have simillar power to 12v milwaukee one :D best tool to have for small jobs , in car all the time etc yet if someone will ever need to work in wood etc buy impact driver 226nm one first
@BrokeLifeEU11 ай бұрын
With the 5Ah it is even better! Same size as the 4Ah but it is even stronger. It may be slower than some other options but it is a determined little tool and never wants to give up. For a 12v it is indeed very good!

@josiplacic123011 ай бұрын

Just a question, I just acquired a 8Ah Smart battery for my PPDSSAP 20-Li C3 and B3 and I thought I would have some option to change on the C3, annoying thing. Do you know if there is any solution for this? My C3 with a non-smart battery always starts in mode 4! And if you are doing normal stuff and not heavy duty stuff can be annoying, because it is too strong in this mode. Now with the Smart battery I see it always starts in 1 or how you left it.. which is nice and what I wanted. I thought in the app you could set some default mode, but no. And also I was pleasantly surprised to see that also B3 has Bluetooth function .. haha, it lit up next to mode selector and not on the handle as on C3 or other newer models. So, do you know how to make C3 start in the last mode was left with a non-smart battery? Well, to explain more, it remembers the mode for few minutes, I didn't count it, but if you leave it for longer periods, it will forget and when you just touch the trigger 1 will be lit for few miliseconds then it jumps to 4. :(

Sorry for the late reply! Some people have speculated that the issue you speak of can be fixes via some setting on the Parkside app. I am not really a big app person and even more so when it comes to connecting apps to tools. I did try for the sake of finding a fix for this problem, but I was not able to resolve it. I hope that you can find a way to make the tool work as you want it to! I will make sure to mention it to you if I come across an answer to your query!
@bogdanbelciu62427 ай бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU Thank you. No, there is nothing in the app about it. You can set the current mode from the app but not a default mode. Probably it is just a bug.

The 12v version 350Nm has more torque than the 20v version 226Nm, but in the video it shows that the 20v version wins! I´m confused!
@BrokeLifeEU10 ай бұрын
A difficult one to explain but I did nothing regarding max tightening and loosening torque of the tools. Only big screws and wheel bolts below 300Nm. In this scenario it is more down to the battery than the tool in this case. So 20V would come out on top.

Why would you even choose the 12v version?
@lyrics796611 ай бұрын
Many reasons, eg. someone already has only one Parkside aku tool (e.g. 12V small garden chain saw, which is very good) and therefore has 12V batteries and charger and don't want to buy another batteries or charger. He plans to use the impact driver very seldomly etc.. But there is also one huge advantage in comparison to 20V B3 model (which after conversion to 1/2 is definitely far better - even according to videos from this channel) and that is that 12V version is 1/2" while 20V version is 1/4 hex (and after conversion you may lose warranty).

@Cedo8611 ай бұрын
Did you do the conversion from hex to 1/2" on parkside, what model do you have? With new 4Ah battery you only get smaller package as advantage, two rows of batteries in old one are just better for now, it can deliver more Amps, 8Ah battery is best, two rows of 21700 have enough Amps to power up that impact gun.
@BrokeLifeEU11 ай бұрын
Yup seems like between the 4Ah batteries the older not smart model is better. I only got the smart 4Ah because of the size, as I use it like a power bank from time to time. If you want power there is onlyy one way in which to look, which is in the way of the 8Ah. It is even on sale now in many placed. Chepest I think on Lidl.de 49.99€

@@meddis4647 haha I also ordered those two batteries for exactly the same reason, I must add that old 2Ah battery is also good for some applications, for example if you working with only small screws 2Ah will be sufficient and its light weight will make work easier.

Why compare two tools that do not have absolutely the same use??
@BrokeLifeEU10 ай бұрын
Because in the DIY case you use them for many different purposes and you may buy just one and use it for all your impacting needs. So the question this video is attempting to answer is if you had 80EUR which one tool would get you the closest to meeting your impact tool needs.
