every day I am more happy to look for a b3 model for months and get it new at a good price
@BrokeLifeEU27 күн бұрын
The B3 is not without its faults, however it is far FAR better in terms of durability than the C3. Only ever seen one B3 have issues, out of the dozens I have seen and in terms of the C3 it is about a 50-50 shot.

Broken! very well repaired. this mini tool not for car wheels and next level brocken again😄
@BrokeLifeEU2 ай бұрын
Thank you! The C3 version of this is very problematic. The person I got this from used it only as intended, that is to say for screws in soft wood. The impact mechanism I put in it is from an impact wrench. So the combination of the new impact mechanism and anvil for an impact wrench and the body and internals of an impact driver should account for an impact wrench with high RPM. All of this resulting in high impacts per minute so a good torque number.

Great video and build. Had the same defect recently. Returned it to Lidl, got a refund and bought the older B3 model.

Thank you! You did very well! The B3 is a much better tool! And to think the C3 could have been as good if not for a couple more millimetres of metal here and there.

Still not as bad as the C2 or b2 whatever it was 🤣 the switch lag was horrible, electronics die all the time... they replaced mine 2 times and 3rd time gave me the c3 I think which is doing really well in my case
@BrokeLifeEU15 күн бұрын
I think they are about equal in terms of defects. I have seen so so many broken C3s that you would not believe. One of the issues is a broken drive gear which is easy to fix, the other one is a broken impact shaft which is next to impossible to fix reliably.

Thank you! Yes, it absolutely does not make much sense 😂 these tools should be warrantied whenever possible. But in this case it was not possible as I was handed this and asked to fix it if possible. This one had no warranty I don't know why. So in the end I fixed it with new parts, I am not a fan of welding the broken pieces together at all. What type of Bosch are we talking about?

@@BrokeLifeEU Oh, good fixing solution then👋. Bosh blue 12v line Multicuter, Jigsaw and circular saw so far. Mostly drills and impacts on markets😞. I am thinking to make electronics update to PDSSAP B3 - transistors, wires and mayybe current feedback loop to give it even more umph. Things can be improved, noticed while swapping anvil. thank you for that video by the way. it's just hard to measure if it will get any better

With the disaster that the C3 was and is I will not be surprised if they have gone on to an entirely different model. I hope it will be something innovative like the Bosch GDX with a combo anvil.
@krystian85083 ай бұрын
Nice vid, a lot of work and effort invested 👍. Still I doubt it is worth it taking into account the overall cost. There is a lot other DIY brands similar or better than Parkside for comparable price so not sure if there is any good reason to repair it. Especially since there are some mayor changes to the construction applied and there is no guarantee it will last long as it is now.
@BrokeLifeEU3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I don't think it is worth the trouble now, only if you like to make things difficult. That said I bough this Dayi 2106 head assembly from a seller on eBay for 10 euros including postage about a month ago. Now they have increased the price to about 2.5 times that. It is best to either return it and claim the warranty or look for some used parts to get it running. The option that I present in this video is a last resort but still it might help someone or be interesting to watch to others. Took me quite a long time to find the parts to fit this but got there in the end. Also I have lent it to a friend to use so we'll see if it breaks anytime soon.

Is the quality of B3 or B2 any better?
@BrokeLifeEU3 ай бұрын
B2 has issues with the control board. The B3 has strong electronics and a strong mechanical side so I would go with the B3 if it is available. On the other hand I think the C3 by Grizzly tools might just be the worst.

I wonder, if with this 1/2 mod it is any better (higher torque) than PPDSSA 12 A1?
@BrokeLifeEU15 күн бұрын
With all the fixes I made in the video it is basically like the original with a 1/2" anvil. That means that it would be more powerful than the PPDSSA A1 12. But do I recommend going through all this in order to fix this? Honestly I can't say I do. The parts alone cost nearly as much as the tool now.
@SQBANY1315 күн бұрын
@BrokeLifeEU this one's specs say it has 223Nm, while PPDSSA has 300, and 350 for unscrewing. Does it really come that high? And how PDSSAP 12 A1 be at only 170, when its only difference (at least from the outside) is 1/4 hex instead of 1/2...
@BrokeLifeEU15 күн бұрын
PDSSAP A1 12 and PPDSSA A1 12 are somewhat close on the outside, however completely different on the inside, not one part will fit the other. They are that different. In terms of the PDSSAP 20 in its 1/4" form it does have 226Nm, however when you change the anvil to a 1/2" I guess because of the larger mass of the anvil and not having an adaptor to rob you of power I have managed to unscrew very tight and rusty bolts that the PPDSSA did not manage to unscrew. I can't speak to any Nm claims but just experience.
@SQBANY1315 күн бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU oh, now you started to convince me :D thanks :D
@BrokeLifeEU15 күн бұрын
That said the PPDSSA A1 12 is smaller and lighter, with the 5Ah it can do 95% of the work on your car so if there are no rusty bolts you might like it better. 350Nm claimed by Parkside is a bit of a stretch I think, but up to 300Nm it will be fine.

@abandonedbucharest77042 ай бұрын
Sorry for not answering, didn't get the notification. I don't know exactly what broke, but it lost the percussion, it's not hammering anymore, it only spins, with full speed but with no power, if you hold it by hand, it will not spin anymore and it's not hammering at all. I've send it in warranty and they said here in Romania don't sell it anymore and don't have the parts for it, and send me a new one after 2 months from Germany

Yes, with the B2 the problems come from the control board, but that is a very difficult thing to fix and keep the tool close to the original way it functions.
