Thanks for the memories. Was a field service mechanic in the early 80's for Cat too. Oh how the equipment and service procedures have changed. Not to mention the tools to do your job. I do miss the industry. The old school guy

Used to work at the pit, the mine manager and the owner are amazing people who took a chance on me and got me hooked with running equipment. Learned so much there that I continue to put into use today 10/10 would recommend working there

As a retired Cat electronics engineer and former aircraft electronics tech, I enjoyed the glimpse into the life of a Cat service tech. Troubleshooting problems is always a challenge, and the diagnostic tools make a big difference.

I'm tipping it was a loose hydraulic suction hose. Seen this before on newer machines. Hose shrinks slightly from new and sucks air .Anyway what would I know, only been on the tools for 40 years 🤣

Don't want to call him down but cutting the filters is a real life no bs history which doesn't lie. Suspect mechanical issue... Filter will tell you... O ring material or metallic material.... Either way, good to see the dealer taking care of their guy. Clearly a valued employee.

Curious if you ever have battery issues with the Milwaukee tools or any other power tools staying out so long in the cold? And is there a constant power supply that would be used to charge them overnight. Also are any other calibrated tools that are temperature sensitive protected in any special way?

1st time seeing this channel and my last. It would have been nice to see a day in the life of a CAT service tech but instead I got to see a comedy skit. Aaron ya must be doing something right tho to have 166k subs. I will admit the audio, camera work and editing was equal to that of a TV program so kudos on that. I just cant take every line being a comedy hour.

Bit disappointed, was it line relief, main relief, make up valve, seal blown out or seat for valve pitted ?,after cycling did valve get hot, thats what makes it more interesting, diagnosing and final outcome.

In my experience Cat’s forestry service is bad. Specifically for parts. Definitely a bit salty I can’t do forestry work on the weekends now. It took my dad 18 months to get a part. When that is the only thing cutting you are done. But at least where they are at Cat seems really nice to work with
