Hi there, For science and engineering, graduate programs in Japan are usually research-based. If you want to study Data Science, you can look into some departments/majors that have research in fields such as Statistics, ML, or AI. Is Data Science considered CS in Japan? I looked into apply but most unis don’t have Computer Science to be exact in the choices

It depends on the university 🙂. For me I was enrolled in the Life Science and Technology department with research in AI and Bioinformatics. Master’s programs here are usually research-based and not course-based like in the US.

Thanks for watching! I completed my bachelor at the same university. However, I majored in Engineering during my undergrad, so I learned Data Science by doing self-study (online courses, youtube, books) back then.
