Hi everyone I have what you all have been waiting on. Todays video is going to be a Q&A about being a dental assistant. I will go into what it’s like being an assistant, the starting pay. Hey I’m currently in school for dental hygiene I I’m currently doing my pre reqs and don’t apply to the program until next February. do you suggest trying to get hired as a dental assistant with no experience ? I am currently a scheduling coordinator at a dental office not really making much😕

Hey love I would suggest definitely try to get hired as an assistant if you feel u will enjoy it, it should go a little smoother for you being that you have front office experience in a dental office. But definitely ask for more Pay because your not completely new to the field.

Hi love!! I loveee your videos! I’m currently attending an online dental program that has an externship at the end and I’m staying disciplined and on track however, I fear that I won’t have the proper experiences since I don’t have the in person classes with hands on assignments, Any advice?

Hey love thank you for watching 🥰. I would say just act it out at home lol lbs act like your talking to a patient, get comfortable with your words and how to address the patients if they ask you basic questions. Practice always introducing yourself. As for the assisting part best thing to do is go to different offices and ask if you can just shadow. A lot of offices don’t mind if you shadow because they aren’t paying you maybe u can luck up and get an externship at one of those. Hope this helps and good luck 😉

Thank you so much 😊 now I’m not for sure I would say yes but there maybe extra schooling you might have to take unless you can work with an office that is willing to train with no prior experience.
