That's exactly how I felt before I went back to school. I just felt like I was being complacent; being too comfortable with that little check because it was making ends meet; doing what it was supposed to do at the time. Then I realized I was meant to do more and definitely make more so I went to dental hygiene school, graduated and now I truly enjoy going to work every day. I'm not suggesting you do what I did. I just understand the frustration and found a way to not be frustrated with my career.

Have you thought about hygiene? I live in ga and starting pay range from $40 and b.o.e can go up to $65! I wasn’t aware of that. I’ve been a D.A for 6 years and now I’m in school for hygiene.

Yes I thought about it but I don’t want to be in the field at all and with being a single mom I don’t have time for the school portion I wish I would have been a hygienist instead of being a dental assistant

Oh nawl , I’m think is why tf CPS wasn’t called 😂 … still beating the baby all because he touched something. That’s crazy. I used be in this field and I don’t miss it at all. A lot of patients would come in with NO MONEY! But shocked about the dental work & payment.

Honestly I’ve never taken it before I heard a lot of people had trouble passing it. In my state they don’t require it but I know a lot of places do.

Hey love thank you for watching. I would say most offices will give you a brief run through of how the office works and what is expected of you. Some will sit down and go over procedures and things like that with you. But don’t worry yourself too much just go with the flow and don’t be scared to say yes I know how to do that but I need a little refresher can u show me or can I do it and I’ll watch. Good luck 😊

I’ve followed her advice, so if your mom did not tell you here it is. Take heed, some think they own you when they buy you cars, pay your rent, give jewelry and expensive clothes, many young women have troubles for this very thing.
