I just went full time editing! One client pays all my bills, so I've just been doubling my rate with every other subsequent inquiry to and I've managed to get a second and third client while doing this! Trying to find the ceiling of what I can reasonably do and still have a lot of free time while also making enough to pay off my student loans and move out haha.

And i've been making more just about every month (i've made tons of videos reviewing my income/progress every month so far if you're interested in hearing me talk about it a bunch haha). November i made around $3,600 which is the most i've made in a month so far

@@Guy92618 it's 100% something you learn and get better at by doing it and finding out the best way you do it. i'd say watch a tutorial or two, then start editing and watching tutorials when you don't know something. College will teach you how to do editing thats needed in the industry, which is way different than if you want to be a freelance youtube editor or something of that nature. I manage the channel itself for some of my clients, video SEO and analytics and stuff, and all of those skills i learned from a $300 youtube course

If you use Adobe premiere pro and media encoder you can have it export through media encoder and so you can use premiere pro in the meantime. This way you can have something rendering or exporting and edit another video at the same time

@@bigz2785 For me it was pretty slow at first. But my focus was in the wrong direction. I was trying to get as many clients as I could instead of trying to get high quality clients that would give me consistent jobs.

I'm not sure if you already started but if you did join Fiverr I would suggest you start off by making a few gigs based on what you're good at editing.

@@ItsLiamDixon May I ask why? I find HDDs to be extremely slow. I recenlty switched to SSD and not only are they faster, but way more durable because of the lack of moving parts, which is great for me because I travel a lot.
